Preston Lancaster Academy or PLA is one of the most prestigious schools here. It's a private institution, but the school accepts scholars as well. Expected na lahat ng mga students dito ay matatalino at talented. Standards in this school are extremely high. We are also sectioned by rank. So malaki ang chance na pareho lang ang magiging classmates mo for the next school year. Unless someone ranks down or may bagong addition sa class niyo.

Our section is formally called grade 7 class A or 7A. Lahat kami sa 7A ay transferees from different schools. We were all from different institutions when we were in elementary school. But over the course of 5 months we've gotten close with each other. And we've also made our names be known by many. Mostly because top students kami ng grade 7 and we're active in extracurricular activities.

Today is the start of foundation week. A whole week long of festivities that is held every month of December to commemorate the establishment of our school. Lahat ng nasa high school ay abala sa paghahanda sa kani-kanilang mga class affairs. There are stalls outside as well, we were given the choice to use our classroom or have a tent on the fields but we chose to use our classroom.

Everyone was required to come to school early today para sa opening wearing civilian. Foundation week is the biggest event in this school. So it has to go as smoothly as possible. Kaya lahat nag eeffort ng todo to make memorable memories.

Our class has already finished our final preparations. Tapos na ang setup ng classroom, nakahanda na rin ang mga costumes sa office ni Ma'am. Today is the grand opening. This consists of basketball, volleyball, and other sport competitions. A performance from the dance troupe, choir and band. Fun games led by the teachers and fireworks as the finale. The only stalls open today are from sponsored stores like McDo, Shakey's, H&M, and the likes. Bukas pa ang opening event ng study body affairs.

"I'm so excited" I exclaimed, rubbing my palms against each other. May halo ring kaba ang excitement ko. This is going to be my first Foundation Week here in PLA. I don't know what to expect! Nakakatakot mag expect, baka ma disappoint lang ako sa huli. I want this event to be tattooed in my memories forever because high school is an integral part of life!

"Good luck sa game niyo mamaya!" Jamilah hugged me sideways.

"Kinakabahan ako" Harper admitted, covering her face with her palms. Tumango naman ako sa sabi niya. This will be our first volleyball game with the whole school watching! Since we're freshmen malaki ang pressure sa amin to keep up with the older members. Nakakatakot maging deadweight sa buong team, lalong-lalo na mamaya dahil marami ang manonood. So I really have to perform to the best of my abilities.
