AUTHOR'S NOTE: The next books in "The Charstein Vampire Saga" is historical...Not modern. Writer/producer/director Dan Curtis did this type of 'swapping' in The House of Dark Shadows in the 1960's-90's.
But my other influences is the lesbian horror trilogy from the 1970's that begun with The Vampire Lovers in 1970, with with late UK horror actress, Ingrid Pitt and Peter Cushing.
In all, as a horror fan of books and movies, my influences as a write are Stephen King, Robert Bloch, Shirley Jackson, Peter Straub, and Susan Hill...and others like Thomas Tryon and Brian Keene.
I do have "The Vampire Lovers" on BluRay DVD in Australia...it's essential watching for Vampire fans.
So, without further ado, let the terror begin...
