29. Female Offspring

"Lemme explain", Jungkook continued, " I don't know why but Jimin always had this misconception that I was being favoured over him. He felt as if I was their first choice. To be honest, when Grandpa told us that I was the one who would be crowned as the next King then somewhere, I, too felt as if Jimin was being mistreated but now, that I think of it, Grandpa was right. He had noticed it. He had noticed Jimin's psychotic behaviour from the very beginning. This was the reason he wanted me to become the King. However, it was where Jimin decided to show his true colours. Those men who killed Grandpa weren't the members of Avalon Association. They were Jimin's men. He wanted to get rid of Grandpa, so, that he could take over the throne before Grandpa could give me his powers and crown me as the King.

But, what he didn't know was that Grandpa was two steps ahead. The night when he went out for a walk, he was having a very weird feeling. He had the feeling of his impending doom. He had a feeling as if he didn't have much time left. Grandpa was always the type of person to believe his strong gut feel. So, before going to the walk, he came to my bedroom. I had no idea what was happening because I was asleep. It was at that time, that he blessed me with all his royal powers and crowned me as the King.

So, when he left this world, I was crowned as the King. When Jimin came to know about it, he was enraged. He was very, very angry. At that time, even I noticed how he was behaving so coldly to me but I thought that maybe he was behaving like that because of Grandpa's death. But, he eventually got over it. He realised that he wouldn't get the throne. So, instead of aiming for the throne, he started manipulating me. He had such an ability to brainwash me that he had me wrapped around his finger. He would order me to do something and me being the stupid younger brother would always listen to him and for years, it went like that. Even after marrying Ayeong, he still played a big role in my life but...."

"But?", Ae-Cha asked in a timid voice.

Jungkook sighed before his large hand softly clasped Ae-Cha's tiny one, probably to provide her with some emotional assurance as he was now going to narrate the story that included her mom.

Ae-Cha was a bit taken aback by his actions. Sure, she wanted to know the truth but it didn't mean that she would let this man touch her in the process.

She immediately tried to pull away harshly but Jungkook's grip was way stronger. He softly caressed the back of her hand with his thumb before speaking softly,

"Stop struggling and calm down. You need it after hearing the next part."

Ae-Cha rolled her eyes at his words but stopped struggling, giving him a sign to continue.

Jungkook slightly nodded before continuing, "But he stopped doing that. He stopped ordering me. He stopped telling me whom he wanted to kill and whatnot. I found it very weird at first but eventually, I shrugged it off. However, at that time, I didn't know that he was behaving like that because he had fallen in love with Ari, your mother. But, to be honest, it was more of an obsession than love. He was becoming more psychotic and his desire of making Ari his was growing each day. Ari was Taehyung and Jay's bestfriend. Well, she was a human but she had a crush on me. She loved me. Though, she was a bit confused at first when she first saw me because I looked exactly like Jay, but eventually, she got used to it and somehow, fell for me.
