TW: Attempted suicide. (Credit to my friend for the idea.)
Keith was in his room, laying on his bed as he scrolled through his phone. Oh, how he missed this place. Ever since he moved in with Cherry, he never had the chance to visit. But, now that he's no longer with her, hes back to living with his parents, and seven siblings. Yes, you heard me right. Keith is one of eight children. He's one of the older ones, along with his two older brothers, and two older sisters, one being Miku. Of course, he has younger siblings too. He has a younger sister, a younger adoptive brother, and an adorable baby brother. Mrs. Hatsune had given birth to him a couple months ago, and she and her husband had named him Blue. Keith remembers that day as if it were yesterday. His mother's water broke in the middle of the night, and after 10 long, grueling hours of labor, Mrs Hatsune had successfully given birth to a healthy baby boy. Speaking of the little tyke, he crawls into his room, catching the attention of his big brother. In response, Keith sits up, and scoops Blue up into his arms, making the little bean giggle. God, Keith missed this little rascal so much. Despite being nineteen years older than the baby boy, he's as close with blue as he is with the rest of his family. "Hey, baby blue. How are you?" He boops his nose, making Blue giggle and wiggle his arms. The older bluenette lies back down, holding his baby brother close to his chest as the little one snuggles. Not even a minute passes before a click sound is heard. It's Miku, with her phone in hand, a smile across her face. Keith rolls his eyes in amusement. "Hello to you too, Miku." The Japanese icon does a fake "hmph." face. "Oh come on, you were being so cute!!" She raises her arms up in the air, then crosses her arms, earning a chuckle from her one year younger brother.
The young blue-haired woman sits on the bed next to Keith, and rubs his his hair. "Mom told me about your breakup with Cherry. . . How've you been feeling since then...?" Keith sighs, looking at his older sister in her dark, cyan eyes. "Honestly, I'm relived. I actually wanted to break up with her earlier, but i hesitated because i hoped there was still some good in her." Miku frowns, and hugs both Keith, and little Blue. "I understand Keith. I really do. You are pretty good at judging character. . . " She pauses. "Have you ever thought that you judged someone to quickly?. . ." Oh, how Keith dreaded this question. Not because he didn't liking thinking about screwing up like that, but because he already has. The blue-haired rapper sighs. "To tell you the truth Miku. . . I have. And i feel really bad about it. Miku looks at her brother with curious eyes. "Who was it. . . ?" He almost didnt answer. Thinking of that day gave him this deep sense of guilt, growing worse each time. The boy takes a deep breath, gathering his courage and words. "When i was still dating Cherry . . . We got teleported into a pocket dimension. The singer with ponytails perks up. "By who . . ?" She takes ahold of her brother's hand, and gives it a soothing rub, letting him know it was okay to talk about it. Keith pauses, then continues. "Her name was Sky. She was one of my fans, and she opened that dimension to meet me.." Miku smiles "Awww, Keith.. that's cute." The male Hatsune softly chuckles. "I think so too. . . She looked just like me. Blue hair, the outfit, everything. The one thing that set us apart, were her magenta eyes... Really pretty ones at that..." Miku smirks. "Seems to me that you found her attractive."
Keith blushed slightly, then giggled a bit. "Yeah, i guess so... i thought she was pretty the very minute i saw her, but i shook it off, cause i was with Cherry and i thought it was wrong to think another girl was attractive. . . Anyway, a few minutes after we met . . . We sang together." Miku's eyes light up, and she and Blue let out squeals of delight. "How did it go?! Tell me, tell me!!" At his sister's excitement, Keith playfully rolls his eyes, giving her an amused look. "Okay, okay, I'm telling, I'm telling." He smiles. "It was... kind of blissful actually. We were singing a song she made herself, and it was so cute. . . That song was her professing how much she liked me. (That's my headcanon :3) And the way she looked. . . She had this loving, admiring look in her eyes.." Keith looked away from his sister and blushed. As for Miku, she puts her hand over heart, with an expression that conveyed "That's so adorable!!" She then smiles. "It sounds like you had fun Keith. Where did it go wrong..?" The middle one of the trio frowns, and lets out an ominous sigh." She asked me if i wanted to date her... and i said no... harshly." Keith shivered. He hated remembering that moment. "She looked... so hurt... Then she tried singing again to try to convince me, and then..." When he starts to tremble, Miku gives him a gentle rub on the shoulder, followed by a pat on the back. "And then..?" She questions. The younger lyricist stays silent for a few long, uncomfortable seconds. "She... tried to kill Cherry... And honestly I'm not mad at her for that anymore... Rather, I'm angry at myself for what I did afterwards..."
Miku's face shifted to a look of confusion. "Keith, what did you do..?" When she sees her younger brother start to tremble, Miku puts her arms around Keith in a comforting hug. "I..." Keith starts, his voice shaking as he tries to talk, his entire body quivering. "I... I left her... I left her there alone, Miku... I didn't even know what happened until she released us.. And even then, I didn't feel bad until I had time to process what happened..." Sensing his older brother's distress, Blue snuggled into his chest, and babble, causing Keith to smile as tears began to rolled down his face. Miku then speaks. "Why don't you go look for her? I'll watch Blue for you." She scoops up Blue, and sends her other brother a smile of reassurance. "Good luck Keith, I love you." Keith wipes his eyes, and smiles as Miku leaves with Blue in her arms. In half an hour, Keith was out of the house and looking for the girl he had started to miss. He walked around for a few hours, before getting a strong feeling. Something was wrong. Very wrong. He followed his instinct, and it led him to an old apartment building. The feeling kicked stronger and stronger, until he reached the rooftop. And what he saw made his blood freeze in his veins.
It was a girl wearing an oversized hoodie. She walked towards the railing, gripping onto it with her hand and she leaned forward. The girl's grip on the rail strengthened as he leaned her body, showing no intention of ceasing. Keith knew what she was doing. SHE WAS JUMPING! Instantly, Keith starting running towards her. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! STOP!!" He had barely finished his sentence, and the girl had already jumped. Luckily, Keith was right near her, so he caught her by the hand, pulling her back up. By then, the girl's hoodie was down, allowing Keith to see what she looked like. He was in no way prepared for who she was. It was a girl with long, cyan hair that reached her back, and a pair of two dark, crystal clear magenta eyes. There was only one person he knew who looked like that.
"SKY?!"
