Flashback continues:

Arnav spent all his time with Khushi. He took care of all her needs. And he assisted Garima to take care of his princess. Whenever she woke up from her sleep, he used to pat her back lovingly so that she goes back to her sleep. Sometimes he would pick her up in his little arms and sway her slowly in the air to put her back to sleep. Most of the time he used to sleep in Gupta Mansion, near his Khushi. Even though he's a four-year kid, he would do everything he can for his princess. Everyone appreciated his efforts.

Since he was already four, his parents decided to send him to school. But he refused straight away, stating that he cannot leave his princess and go to school. But Ayush took him outside and made him understand, "Chotte do you want to take care of your princess? Do you want to buy toys and clothes for your princess?" He smiled and said, "Of course dad. I'll buy everything for my princess." Ayush said, "Then, for that you need money. So to earn money and take care of your princess, you need to go to school and study like a good boy. Then you can earn money and take care of your princess" He thought for a second and said, "Okay dad, I'll go to school and study like a good boy. I'm going to school only for my princess."

He used to go to school daily, but every morning he used to visit his princess before going to school and then directly come back to her from school. Soon his princess also grew. Slowly she started to speak. Her first word was Maa and then slowly she said, Baba too. Now Arnav is eagerly waiting for her to call him. Every evening he used to try to make her say his name. Finally, she said his name, but in her style, "Nannav." he was so happy when she uttered his name. He peppered kisses all over her face. She used to call him Nannav only.

His princess grew up, now she's 4 years old and he is 8 years. They decided to send her to school. But Arnav was against this as he didn't want his princess to get burdened with studies and homework. Later somehow everyone convinced him and he accepted. But there was this fear in his mind that if she started going to school, she'll make new friends and then forget him. But he didn't show it to anyone.

As expected, she made many friends on the first day itself. She being the cute, bubbly kid, everyone liked her instantly and become friends with her. One of the friends, being a boy made him even angrier. But he never said anything, as he wanted her to enjoy her school.

One Sunday, he went to her home to spend time with her. He saw her friends and they were all happy and playing. She didn't even acknowledge his presence as she was busy playing. But he kept quiet and observed her from far away. But he lost it when the boy tried to pull her piggy tails. He rushed to her, he pulled the boy away from her. Seeing him her friends got scared and moved away from her. He bent on his knees and asked her lovingly, "Princess are you okay?" Her friends always make fun of her, when he calls her princess. Even today when he called her princess, they were about to laugh. But seeing him angry, they bit back their laughs. Khushi who observed this got angry and said, "I'm fine. But why did you come in between my friends? We were playing nicely until you came and spoiled everything. And don't call me princess, I'm not your princess" and ran inside her home pushing him away.

Arnav was very hurt by her words. Garima understood what he must be feeling, she moved towards him to console him. But he got up and said, "Aunty, my princess is crying. Please go and console her." When she didn't move he pushed her to go.

Garima went to her room and saw her crying sitting on her bed. She hugged her and said sweet things to console her. When she became normal she asked her, "Bitiya, why did you ask Arnav to not call you princess? Don't you know how much he loves you?" Khushi replied, "All my friends make fun of me when he calls me princess. He takes care of me every time like I'm a kid, and my friends call me a baby. I don't like it when they make fun of me. Even today they were laughing, so I asked him not to call me princess. I don't like it when he calls me princess, I don't like it when he comes in between my friends. Every evening I play with him only. Today first time, my friends came and what he did, he scared them. Now they'll not come home. I hate him."
