A swirl in red. The paintbrush swiped across the canvas, adding an aura of death to the background of the blood-like sunset. A black mist. A gentle smudge creating a cluster of clouds. A bright outline to the round redness.
After an hour and half, Seokjin stepped back, perspiration matting his onyx black bangs to his forehead, and admired his hard work.
8 hours a day for 6 days. 42 hours of sweat-soaked shirts, aching muscles and intense concentration and he was finally done with his painting.

He sent the painting to the packaging section to be framed and wrapped.
The clock on the wall informed him that it was nearly noon, and he smiled through his fatigue.
"Ah, I can leave early. Wouldn't be too bad to cool off some steam and probably find inspiration for my next painting" he mused, and midway through packing his drawing supplies, the soft tune of moon filled the air, alerting him of whoever was calling.

"How's my favorite artist doing"

My day isn't complete without Hoseok ruining it.

"Just finished a painting so very tired and not in the mood for your lame ass jokes"

"Hey! You take that back, my jokes are hilarious and you know it!"
Jin almost laughed at how childish his best friend sounded. Almost, the jet lag approaching said a hell-no to him being amused.

"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night. Why did you call me again?"

"Well... Since you're done with work, meet us at the local bar and let's celebrate"

Jin groaned at his response. By us, Hoseok meant him and his boyfriend, Yoongi.

Yoongi and Hoseok had been dating for over two years and they were the ultimate Brangelina couple, that is if Brangelina was gay.
Sickly in love, too perfect for their own good and a punch to the gut for whoever's ass was still single.

Aka his ass.

"Nah, I think I'll pass. I don't think I have enough energy to be a third wheel to yoonseok"
Yoongi's laugh echoed through his speaker and though Jin wasn't there, he just knew the asshole was smirking.

"Aww, is Van Gogh jealous? Who would've known" The asshole in quote teases and Jin rolls his eyes.

"Yoongi, stop teasing Jin-hyung! Besides, he won't be third wheeling for long...."

Wait, what?

"Hoseok, what're you going on abou-"

"Just meet us at the bar, trust me, you're not gonna regret this" and the line went dead.

Jin stared at his phone in disbelief. What sort of a cliffhanger was that! Now he was curious as to what Hoseok wanted to tell him.

I'm already regretting this. So much for cooling off steam...

•••••••••

"I swear to God, Hoseok if this is not important, I will smack you in the face" Jin complained as soon as he sat down across the couple of the century.

"It is. So, we all know about how single-and totally hot-you are but you've downright shut yourself off from male interests"

Just great, we're here to discuss my non existent love life.... Awesome

"It's not that I don't want to date, I just want to find the right person. You know this already"

"We do. But if you're gonna find the right one, you have to know what not right first. At least date a few guys first, then you can decide" Yoongi said before taking a gulp of whiskey.

Despite being an asshole, he was a great friend too and Jin had to admit he was making a lot of sense.

Two pair of eyes watched his cautiously, anticipating his reply and after a minute, he sighed.

"Okay, so what d'you suggest"

Hoseok pumped his fist in the air and Yoongi smiled in satisfaction.

"Okay, so you know how Yoongi works at Kim's Enterprises? Well, the CEO, he's currently single..." Hoseok started and Jin froze.

Aw hell no

"You want me to date his boss! As in Kim Namjoon! The Kim Namjoon! No, absolutely not!" Jin refuted the idea before his friends could even say it.

"Jin, hear me out first" Yoongi said "Namjoon is handsome, experienced, rich-"

"Self-centered, a no-strings-attached guy, an asshat and a proud jerk! Why would I want to date him! You always talk about how he changes his sex partners when he's not satisfied, why would you want me to date him! He doesn't like relationships! Doesn't that disqualify him for me already!"
By the time Jin finishes his rant, Hoseok is already massaging his forehead.

"You're right, he's all those things but he hasn't exactly found someone who'd make him consider a relationship either. He may be stubborn but he's a good person and I think the both of you will be good for each other. He's experienced and you're optimistic. It's a win-win situation" Yoongi stares Jin down, almost pleading with him to say yes.

"But I'm a virgin" Jin whispers, almost covering his face in embarrassment.

"True, but he doesn't know that. Just play along like you aren't. I know this is new to you and he may reject the idea of the both of you dating at first but when he gets to know you, the you that we do, he'll be smitten, I just know it"

Jin was in turmoil.
So many things could go wrong.
Kim Namjoon was a sexpertise, and Jin felt he obviously couldn't satisfy whatever needs he expected in his partners.
But Yoongi was right. Maybe it was time he stopped running.
Maybe he needed to loosen up.
He so badly wanted to experience the thrill of a relationship but he had to let his guard down first to do so.
Besides, even if he and Namjoon fell out, there were still other fishes in the ocean, right?

"When can I meet him?"
