ANZAC Poem

They did it so we could be free
They put their lives on the line
Not once did they flee
Each day they looked for a sign
Something from God
It would bring them hope
Even if it was a simple nod
It helped them cope
Each soldier was a knight
They were willing to take a risk
To bring this country light
We promised never to forget
What had been sacrificed for this land
The ones that took away the threat
From this soil and sand
So lest we forget
The blood that has been shed
And thank them for what they have set
