Forever a mystery part 2: Putting together the missing pieces

I think I said this before in the previous chapter but I'll be doing them all at once, just not right now since its 4am on 1/24/2019 but there will be 4 update things in the same day saying so n' so just updated fill in the blank story. However, in this one I decided that I needed a reason why Edward and Jacob are such good friends even if before this chapter it would've meant more to Edward since at the time until towards the end of this chapter that Jacob isn't quiet sure what it is Edward and I are going on about until Jack and Tooth help us out again.

After Jacob sees the memories of the person we've given him memories of, when he does its just Jack, Jake and I after recalling some past memories of a past friend in Edward and I's past and feeling guilty about the way thing ended.... Well, what am I trying to summarize for? That's not the way I role, it would be easier for you to just skip this paragraph and move on to the real part of the chapter. So, what's stopping you? Oh yeah, you already just read it. On you go, go to the next paragraph.

Today it was just us 3. It had been a bit since it had been just the 3 of us. Edward, Jake and I. We were laying in the meadow sometime someday where we had nothing better to do. It was entirely unexpected, but suddenly my brother turned to ask me if I remembered our friend Jordan. Yeah sure I told him. Why do you ask? IDK, its just there's someone who reminds me of him. Who? I ask him.

Suddenly we end up sitting up. You're kidding right? He asks lifting an eyebrow at me. Jade even I know the answer to that one. Jake told me. Ohh! I say slowly. That makes sense. Come to think of it I don't recall seeing any memories with Jordan in them, but I still remember him. Yeah, me too, not the not knowing how part, but the not seeing them in the memory tubes that Tooth gave us.

Tooth who? Jake asked us. The Tooth Fairy of course. We should get Jack down here and have him take Jake to meet the rest of our friends. Let's go up to the treehouse. Let's go, open the window. I pull Jake over closer to us. Both: Jack?! We need you! Then suddenly frost grows and it gets a lot colder and a cold wind blows into the room, and then suddenly my lips are numb.

Jack! I call pulling away. We need you to take us to go see well everybody. Originally this was meant to be written differently and have us do exactly that and have some kind of mini adventure but after not coming back to my notebook for a couple of days either that or getting lost in thought and completely forgetting where I was gonna end up going with all of this made it turn out how it does.

Anything for you. Jake you know my boyfriend Jack. Yes, we've met plenty of times. Hi Jack how are you? Good to see you again Jacob. And Jake you ARE aware that Jack is Jack Frost? Yes of course. We need to make him meet the others. And Edward and I wanted to ask Tooth if we're missing any teeth. Why? Because we've been talking about our friend Jordan. You remember Jordan don't you Jack?

Of course I do, he reminds me a lot like Jake. See, that's what I said. Well let's get going. So what exactly is it that we're doing and how are we getting there? Jake asked us. Did you bring one with you? Why would you ever doubt me E? He asks him pulling out a snow globe. What is that? It's a snow globe. Yeah, so what? It's anything but Jacob, Jack show him. Tooth Palace Jack whispers into it. As a portal appears.

What is that? A portal. No really? No really Jacob it is. Don't believe us? Um.... Show him Jack. Jack walks through the portal. Jacob pokes his head in. Oh for goodness sakes just go in. Edward tells him. Jack pulls on one arm, while Edward gives him a small push while also grabbing my hand, after doing so we begin to stumble and fall through the portal and on top of each other, but before I can fall Jack is right there to catch me.

Thanks Jack. Well sure I could never let you fall, except over and for me. I roll my eyes and push at him. Shut up. I tease. You already have me you don't need to flirt. Are you sure? He asks wrapping an arm around my waist. Jack we are here for one purpose and one purpose only. EJ are you guys gonna get up? They get up. Jack you're back. Tooth says flying over to us. Open up let me see those teeth.

How about just a smile? Can we get some sunglasses before he does that? Edward teases. Hush, I nudge him. Come on Jack show me a smile Tooth cooes. If you insist. As he does a bunch of the mini tooth fairies all swoon. How about you Jade wanna give me a pearly white smile? Ok, I giggle smiling a big bright smile. You're turn Edward Cullen. Alright he shrugs. You're fangs are a little dull when was the last time you ate meat?

I haven't been hunting a bit, I take care of my sister instead. E that doesn't mean you shouldn't still be taking care of yourself. You can even get a big gross meaty bloody steak at Cora's. Or I could just eat an apple or two. But if you don't eat something with blood you'll get hungry and your eyes will turn red and or as dark as coal and you'll eat me if we're left in the same room together while you're like that, and if that happens that would make me more afraid of vampires than I already am currently.

But Jade you're a hybrid your part vampire, and your foster family are all vampires and I am a vampire. Yeah, but so is my kidnapper. Jade? He frowns hugging me. Please Edward take better care of yourself. But Jade I don't need meat to get blood I can just go hunt or get something from Cora's, besides I can eat normal human food you know that I can. E?! Fine.

And you're Jacob Black, I've heard so much about you. Open up let me see those teeth. Why do I have to open my mouth they all just smiled? Cause you're fresh meat. Edward teases. Hush up Jacob says rolling his eyes crossing his arms. Come on Jacob. Jack smirks wrapping an arm around his shoulder she doesn't bite. JT: It's not her I'm worried about. But after feeling Jack's cold hand, he opened his mouth to complain and Tooth looked at his teeth.

That was cold, and I'm used to you guys. Hm.... Tooth thinks, I've seen a bite like this before, back in your time Edward. Jake have you ever heard the name Jordan? Just recently why? If Tooth is asking a question like that there's probably a good reason. Jack said leaning against his staff. Like when she had a theory that Farrah was Jade and sent us over to North's and she ended up being right.

How old are you Jacob? 16 why? Edward how did Jordan die she asks him? Why does it matter he asks with a frown? Just curious. Murdered, when he was about Jacob's age and it's all my fault. I wasn't strong enough to save them both. What happened? Jordan's dad never really liked me, but Jade, Jordan, Jack and I were best friends, Jack was around when he could be. He had been Jade's boyfriend even back then.

Jack hadn't been around, it was just myself Jade and Jordan. His dad warned him to be careful that I was nothing but trouble, that I was a bad influence. You still are Jake teases. I worse back in the day. The 3 of us had gone to go cause chaos. We were having fun, but then we ran into some very dangerous guys. They chased after us, Jordan ran beside me I carried Jade on my back, we came to what appeared to be a dead end.

There was a part above us that I grabbed a hold of and lifted Jade up, she got up and then I helped Jordan up, then I went up last. One of them clawed at my leg, I was in pain, but I followed up after them. They both were worried about me. Jordan has suggested that we split up that if one of us was fast enough that we could go run and get help.

We were all very fast, but Jordan was always faster than me and Jade was always faster than both of us, had to be if she didn't want to get tickled silly from one of our games. She left to go get help, to call the police to go and get our parents. Jordan and I came across another dead end, splitting up had been both a good and bad idea. It had either been very brave or very stupid.

Jordan had insisted that he wanted to fight them off himself, I told him he was acting stupid that I didn't want him to get hurt, or to get himself killed. He said that I did dangerous stuff all the time to protect us. How much he looked up to me, my heart ached. Jordan wanted to be like me but sometimes I didn't even want to be like me. When I did things we did them for fun, but what Jordan was doing was to protect us. Edward run! He told me go with Jade go run and get help, I'll stay and distract them.

I refused. He said that I protected us all the time, and that he wanted to do it this time. He wouldn't me stay. He pushed me away and two of the guys didn't bother giving me a second glance, the third that came after me shot me, I can't remember where, but I remember that it hurt and that I was bleeding a lot, but then I heard another gun shot go off.

I called Jordan's name, when sirens came I crawled over to him since I couldn't stand, I placed his head onto my lap, he was cold his blood was warm he had no pulse. Jordan was dead. And I was being taken to the hospital to be fixed, but I remember blaming myself, wishing I was also dead that I should've been the one to die, but I couldn't leave my family behind but they had left me anyways.

I still blame myself after all this time, and after Carlisle found me, and turned me I tracked down Jordan's murderers. I didn't bite them, I hadn't rebelled, I hadn't tasted human blood, but no I killed them like a civil person. I avenged Jordan, and since I wasn't "me" anymore no one could ever trace it back. But I had nothing, my parents were dad, one of my best and only friends was dead and my twin was dead.

Jordan would've lived, but its my fault he's dead. He protected us but it was my idea, it was just supposed to be for fun, it wasn't supposed to end in death. After I joined the Cullen's and after we had everyone and had came back to Fork's when I met Jacob for the first time I didn't care what or who he was, it didn't matter to me. I looked at Jacob and saw the ghost of Jordan looking back at me.

Even though at the time Jake had been so much younger than me, but I didn't care. In the beginning it was my redemption to Jordan to be a better friend. Until Jake and I became best friends. When I saw Jack again he and Jake were really the only friends that I had and do have. Eventually I stopped thinking about Jake being Jordan and just let him be Jake, but every time I did and do see him my heart aches and I feel a course of guilt in the pit of my stomach.

Jordan was like my little brother and I loved him like one. He was Jake's age when he died. My little brother is dead because of me. If it were a reincarnation thing like Jade, he'd be about Jake's age again now. And I'm still a terrible influence on all of us. And now we have the same kind of relationship as Jordan and I did.

For some unknown reason your dad hates me and we shouldn't be friends, but against all odds we are. And like Jordan you're like a little brother to me, and as sappy and as cheesy as it will sound, but I love you like one. Jordan was like a part of the family as are you. I wish I could see Jordan again and tell him how sorry I am.

Well why don't you take these and watch them? I bet you'll come across some good news. No thanks I'm not in the mood for shoulda, woulda, coulda. You guys can watch them if you want, but I'm going home. He says taking the snow globe Jack got him for his birthday and doing exactly that. Jake and I turned to each other and frowned. At home in his room he cleaned off the bench and put things away as he laid down on it staring up at the ceiling.

ET: I'm sorry Jordan. He thought to himself as flashbacks plagued his mind. At Tooth's Jake watched Jordan's memories. And when he came back out.... What does this have anything to do with me? The teeth don't lie Jake. I.... It all makes sense now. He *sighs* Jacob? I question. Jordan. When it's just us 3 or us 4 call me Jordan and now that I'm back maybe Edward won't be so hard on himself. He smirks ruffling my hair.

Now let's go find Edward. You might want to ease the idea into his head carefully. Yeah, now come on let's go. However, meanwhile at home.... ET: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. His eyes glisten with tears. Oh Jordan I'm so sorry, it's all my fault. He sits up and rubs his eyes *sighing* again, wrapping his arms around himself. Edward Jake's here. Esme calls. Want me to send him up? She asks. But there is no response.

E? I call up the stairs. Come on Jacob. You can go home Jack, you have a job to get back to, we'll take it from here. Ok, TTYLXOX love ya. Bye love you too. We head upstairs. You got this right? Leave it to me. He smirks. Hey. Jacob please go away! Edward he calls with a smirk. I can't deal with this right now please leave me alone! Not gonna happen. Fine you stay I'll go. He says going to the window.

Sit Edward. Jacob warns placing a hand on his shoulder pulling him back in. Tooth was right. What are you going on about? And where's Jade? Maybe in her room. Maybe?! Jake I can't leave her alone! Edward can you just sit and listen for a sec?! He scolds playfully pushing him down onto the bench. What are you doing? I told you Tooth was right.

About what? About this. Watch them. No, no, no. You're not funny Jacob, especially if you think you're gonna try and convince me that you're really Jordan if for no other reason just so that I'll stop feeling guilty. I'm always gonna blame myself. How can I convince you? You can't he says brushing his arm off of him. Getting up to walk away. Edward Anthony Masen Cullen sit and listen to me! Jake scolds again.

Don't use my full name Jacob. He says rolling his eyes. You're about to give me no other choice. No other choice but to what? Even younger brothers get the upper hand on their older siblings every once in a while, and best friends always playfully fight and sometimes that includes getting back at each other. Where is this going? He lifts an eyebrow. Exactly that. You're or else will become my or else, if you don't listen to me.

You're funny Jacob, but this isn't funny, Jordan's gone and he's not coming back! Stranger things have happened Jake shrugs. After all you have Jade back again. Besides you always make me happy when I'm down, it's my turn. I don't need you to cheer me up, besides you'd have to catch me first and keep me pinned and right now I'm faster and stronger than you. You know since you and Jade are twins that must mean you've got a lot in common.

Don't pull that card Jacob, you'll regret it. Then listen to me. I'm listening, I'm listening. Watch! It's not gonna mean anything to me he shrugs frowning. If you want to prove it tell me something only Jordan would know. My dad's name was Henry. My middle name is Michael. Jacob, you saw the memories they were probably in there like that. You won't know unless you watch them. Fine, but it's still not gonna mean anything. He says taking the box and watching the memories finally caving.

When he comes out.... I can't I just can't deal with you right now Jacob. Edward? He frowns. It's me. Jade says the teeth don't lie. And you took her word for it? Edward frowns. Jake you can't change my mind. Jordan's gone because of me. You know that birthmarks are where you were possibly killed in another life? I may have heard that before Edward says rubbing a hand behind his neck. Where was Jordan shot? Jake I really don't want to think about how Jordan was killed again.

E I am Jordan! That's impossible! Didn't you say the same thing to Jade about Jack being her boyfriend? Fine he smirks. Want proof? Answer the question. IDK, he was dead before I could see what happened. Then how would I have or know about a birthmark that looks like stitches on my top left rib? Lucky guess. E you didn't know that how could I? And how would I know that you have stitches on the edge of your right side? That would've been after my death, I shouldn't know that I remember.

Don't feel guilty E, it's not your fault, it's mine for suggesting that we split up in the first place. I told Jade that from now on when its just the 4 of us that I wanted you guys to call me Jordan again. Deal. Now come on cheer up, after all I do also happen to know just how much in common you Jade have in common. You can't catch me Jordan! You're such a bad influence, and because of that it's influenced me to use your tactics against you. No you don't! Edward smirks as he runs off.

This is so not fair E! Yes it is! I'm the fastest currently, and I'm still stronger than you. You're still the second fastest. I remind him. I'm faster. Fine Jade, but I'm currently faster than Jordan right now, and unlike in our past life I have the upper hand this time, IDK what you're talking about you and Jade always tortured me all the time, now that I'm faster and stronger as a vampire I now currently have the upper hand.

You think so do you? Just until I can transform. *Ug* fine but you're worse than me. And Jade is.... Don't bring me into this! Same old Jade. And you were NOT I always WAS. Actually if I really have to think about it, I think it was pretty even. But that's still not fair! It's always fair when one needs to be cheered up. Edward rolls his eyes. I'm fine now guys, my little brother is back. Yay, I giggle group hug! No, no, I know this trick. No tricks, just hugs. Nice try. Come on E just one.

Guys I can read your thoughts he says crossing his arms. I use my shield power to block him. Not gonna work Jade. You can't fight us both off at once me you could hurt just fine, not that you'd mean to, but you'd never lay a harmful hand on Jade, and everyone knows it. You guys?! Team work yay! I giggle. J2 I'm gonna get you back. Sure, sure. It sure is great to have each other again. So this is why you guys were so giggly the week of your birthday. That was fun actually, but let's never do that again. No next time we have to include Jordan. Oh that's right. Edward chuckles after catching his breath.

But that's for another day. Isn't great having us all back together Jordan? Edward teased with a smirk. Yep he smirked back, then jumped not sure whether to be entertained or "scared." But we had Jordan back again, and not to mention that prom would be coming up this weekend.
