Unforgiving tragedy

Chapter two

I layed there on my floor with the light off. I stared up at all the glow stars on the ceiling. 'I shouldn't of let them find out.' I thought. I grabbed my duffle bag an started shoving clothes and my favorite necessities into It.I stopped when my hand landed on the teddy bear my dad got me for my 12th birthday. "I'm not gonna ruin there marriage just because I'm not normal." I said as I got up off the floor where I was sitting. I grabbed some shoes from my closet and put them in the duffle bag and set it by my door. I grabbed a piece of paper. I started writing a letter to my parents. ' Dear mom and dad, I guess this is goodbye. I'm sorry I'm not normal. I hope you can forgive me for just walking out like this but I'm just trying to do what's best for your guys marriage. I love you guys. Thanks for the good memories. Ohh and one more thing. I know I'm adopted.' I left the letter on my bed and slung the duffle bag over my shoulder. I took one last look at my room. Damn how I was gonna miss this place. I shut my door quietly behind me. I walked silently across the floor so they wouldn't hear me. I opened the front door and shut it behind me. I stepped out into the cold night air. For the next few days I slept anywhere I could until I remembered I had my jar of live savings in my bag.I grabbed the jar out of my bag. I had at least five hundred dollars in there. I walked To the bus stop and waited. "Aren't you to young to be out here by your self?" A voice asked. I turned around an there was an older boy about 19. He was staring at me. " Maybe? Im 16, My parents found out I'm bisexual and my dad didn't support me so I left." I smiled as he stepped closer. "Do you have a place to stay tonight?" He asked. "No. But I don't know you and I don't know if I can trust you." I grabbed the switch blade out of my pocket in case he was going to try an do anything. " we'll if you want we have an extra bunk back home. It's yours if you want it. Ohh and by the way I'm Corbin." He smiled. "Okay Corbin. I'm Emma. I guess lead the way." I walked slower than normal as I followed him up to a big brick house. He opened the door for me. "Thank you." I whispered. "Yeah sure. Well this can be home for as long as you need a place to stay." He grabbed my bag and led me back to the room I was going to be staying in. "Umm not that it matters but my birthday is tomorrow." I stared at the floor as tears pricked at my eyes. I wish my parents could've understood. I felt big arms around me and I started to cry. "Hey it's okay. We've all been there. Why don't you get some sleep and we can hang out tomorrow. Ill figure something cool to do together." He pulled away. I crawled into my new bed and Corbin covered me up. "Thanks for everything." I smiled. "Your welcome Emma." He shut the light off and cracked the door. I fell asleep shortly after.
