Prologue Part 1

3rd POV


Konohagakure. A beautiful day in an equally beautiful village. However the minds of the people living in the village was not so clear and beautiful as the village or day. Their minds were filled with immense hatred and rage for a certain 'demon' as they called. This hatred and anger was fueled by a terrible incident which took place 8 years ago on the very same day, in the village itself. Exactly 8 years ago, the incident took many lives, several innocent ones, and all that because of only a demon.....or so did they thought. 

That day 8 years ago was October 10th, and today is the same day as well. Most people of the village celebrates this day as the day they would drive the demon out of Konoha, or even better, give him the most painful death they could ever think of. They belief that this day would be the day they would finally end the battle the Fourth Hokage could not end years ago.

Torture, pain, grief. 

This was what a blond haired boy named Naruto Uzumaki's life was mostly filled up of. Out of the several people living in Konoha, only a handful, like Hiruzen Sarutobi- the Third Hokage, Teuchi and Akame - the owners of Ichiraku ramen and Iruka Umino - young Naruto's sensei, were the only people who understood Naruto and showed kindess to him. The others only wanted to torture Naru ...... well ..... the others saw him as a demon more than a human. The reason even he didn't know for. Although old man Hokage tried his best to protect him from them, but his pain never subsided.......not for once. When he was only 6 years old, he cried when the people and children ignored him, shed tears when he was not given food to eat or clothes to wear, begged for mercy when the villagers tried to kill him for something he could not control. 

For the first 5 years of his life, when he was in the orphanage, he was treated rather roughly for a 3 - 5 year old boy. Several days had passed when he was beaten up by his elders at the orphanage, many days went when he was bullied by his friends and countless nights when he had to  go to bed without any food. This was what he considered his worst nightmare, not knowing the real nightmares would begin from the very day when he would turn six years old.

On Naruto's sixth birthday, he was kicked out of the orphanage due to a group of villagers who bribed the head of the orphanage to do so. From the moment he was kicked out, things started to get worse in his life. On his sixth birthday, he was about to get brutally slaughtered when he was saved by a couple of Anbu. That day, he escaped with only a few wounds and these wounds would only get more fatal as the days passed. Although the Third Hokage ordered 5 years of imprisonment to the villagers for their crimes, this stopped nothing, as the villagers were starting to get more aggressive towards little Naruto. Lord Third gave Naruto a home to live in along with all the necessities and weekly allowance for him to spend wisely as and when required. Along with that, he ordered a young but mature chunin and academy teacher, Iruka Umino to take care of him when he could. Iruka who also lost his parents during the tragedy 6 years ago, didn't like the idea, but, had to obey. Overtime as he came to know Naruto and understand him, he realized he was nothing but a young and innocent child craving for love and attention and eventually bonded with him pretty well. However, Naruto still was being mercilessly beaten up and tortured by several villagers and even ninjas. 

If  this had been any other kid, they would have either gave up on their life or would have swore vengeance on the village. However, Naruto was not ever normal to begin with. When others would have snapped or given up, he stayed determined. He eventually gave up ........ not on his life, he gave up on crying like a weakling. He got enrolled in the academy at the age of 7 and Iruka informed him that it would be atleast 3 years till he would finally become a Leaf Genin. Everything was going well for Naruto...... other than the assault of the villagers, which was a normal thing for him and he usually esacaped with the Substitution Jutsu and the beating of genins and some chunins, that he could not generally escape and ended up in a pretty bad shape, eventually saved by Iruka sensei or some Anbu. But this time.....on his 8th birthday, it was different and reached a new level of brutality.
