Prompt: E34. Bed sharing/there's only one bed

After driving for two days and the last day was within your reach, you arrived to a cozy little motel you had barely gotten a room from. The old lady at the counter walked as slow as a sloth and also talked as slow as she walked, but you were grateful to finally get into bed and sleep after an exhausting day.

Only that it wasn't that easy.

You swore you had booked a room with two single beds, but yet here you were, standing at the doorway and only one single bed in that little room.

"They must have made a mistake," Pin sighed.

"You think?" you scoffed. "We can't even change it, imagine how long that would take at this time of night... and that grandma looked like she only understands Middle English. Imagine her trying to use the computer."

Pin chuckled when he pictured the situation and then seemingly thought for a moment, his gaze circling the room. "Well... I'm going to stay awake for the night. You can sleep."

You shook your head. "Oh, no. You've driven the whole day. I'll stay awake, you sleep. I can sleep in the car tomorrow."

Pin pursed his lips, realizing that you were right. It would also be dangerous of him to drive while sleepy. But he also knew from experience that your back would be killing you after sleeping while he drove through the small roads which led to the vacation house - for something built for royalty, its roads weren't treated well, he'd have to work on that. The floor didn't look that inviting either, and there wasn't anything to put as a mattress anyway.

"Would you be okay with... sharing the bed?" Pin asked you and you immediately felt your cheeks growing hot.

"Um... uh. Y-yeah. I guess so?" you stuttered and turned away from Pin. "The bed looks narrow though, it could be hard to not fall off in our sleep..."

Pin chuckled. "If we sleep close enough, we won't fall."

Your cheeks just grew hotter at the thought of sleeping against Pin. "Right. Uh... well, we should get on with it, then."

You both changed into your nightwear and Pin slipped under the covers, shifting over so you'd fit beside him. You hesitated to the last moment, but could finally make it under the covers, and suddenly you became very aware of Pin's arm being above the pillow and you glanced at it briefly. Pin frowned, and you tried to look everywhere but him so he wouldn't see how flustered you were. You turned over, back to Pin and just hoped to fall to sleep quickly.

"Are you okay?" Pin asked, and you furiously nodded, even though he barely finished his question. He sighed. "Y/N."

You sighed as well and rolled over. You looked into his blue eyes and swallowed, knowing that Pin would see through every lie, you were way too close so your lies would go through him. "I just... I may have a little crush on you. But I know that you don't feel the same, you probably see me as your sibling or something and-"

You were stopped as you noticed that he was smiling widely - quite the contrary to the scenario you had been afraid of. You had been sure the situation would get awkward and you would ruin the whole vacation. Pin's arm above the pillow slid to rest around your shoulders and he pulled you into his chest.

"Didn't think that you'd be the one to confess it first..." he mumbled and your eyes widened.

"Wait, w-what?" you stuttered and Pin pulled back slightly so you'd get to look at each other.

"This whole trip to that resort was ignited by the idea from the girls. They know I've liked you ever since I met you and told me that they could help me if I want to tell you how I feel, so... I arranged this trip to my family vacation house just so we'd have more time to spend together, without work, and I could get multiple chances to confess my feelings towards you," Pin confessed and you felt like your heart was about to leap out from your chest as you just stared at him. He just smiled at you and then tightened his arm around you again. "Let's talk more about this tomorrow, we still have about five to six hours to drive."

You finally broke into a smile of your own as you wrapped your own arm around Pin and nuzzled your face into his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat and let it lull you into sleep.
