The smell of burning flesh was pungent throughout the plantation house. It made Rhea's nose turn up in disgust as she descended down the stairs from her room. It's times like these when she despises her heightened senses because human her probably wouldn't smell it as much. She knows she feeds on the blood of humans in order to survive, but, it's not exactly like she enjoys the smell of burning flesh; it makes her sick. It's not a delightful smell and it's one you can't forget once you've smelt it, it's stays with you and it's always easily identified due to its distinct smell.

"Ah, I love the smell of burning flesh in the morning." She said sarcastically, joining the rest of the Mikaelson family, "It really sets the mood for the day."

Hayley was reading upstairs and followed after Rhea the second she had heard her speak to find her, Rebekah and Klaus talking in the foyer. Rebekah only pouted at Klaus, "I cannot believe you disposed of those vampires without me. You know how I love to set things on fire!"

Klaus smirked in amusement, "Was I supposed to leave them in the front yard to rot?"

Rhea made a face, "Yes, you're always talking about how to send a message to your enemies. What better way to send a message than to leave their comrades in our front yard to rot?"

"I knew I liked you for a reason, little gremlin." Klaus pointed at her and she rolled her eyes at the nickname before shrugging his shoulders, "Besides, they were my responsibility. They attacked the helpless pregnant girl who's carrying my child!"

Rebekah rolled her eyes this time, "Oh, I am so moved by your new-found sense of fatherly duties towards the werewolf carrying your hybrid bun in her oven."

"The werewolf would like to know what the plan is." Hayley spoke up, everyone's heads looking at her while she slightly shrunk in her spot, clutching one of Elijah's journals to her chest tightly.

Klaus smirked, "Well, that depends what plan you mean, love—my plan for global domination, Rhea's plan to find Elijah, or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world?" He teased and Rebekah took a pencil from the desk beside her and threw it in Klaus' direction. Klaus caught it easily before it could embed itself in his face.

Hayley sighed, "Rhea's plan to rescue Elijah. You know, the good brother? The one who is now in the possession of your mortal enemy after you stabbed him in the back?"

Klaus smirked, "In the front, if we're being specific."

Rhea let out a growl, "The specifics are not necessary, Klaus." She said to him, not really enjoying thinking about how he hurt her soulmate.
