Chapter 1: New Roommate

After days of contacting Mimis references, Nadia Gomez helps her move into her room. They both walk through the living room, past the bathroom and into Mimis bedroom.

So. The Five Foot blonde looks around the grungy bedroom. This is. She trails off grimacing at the bedroom that doesnt match the rest of the apartment. Two windows full of grit and grim and broken bricks lying on the floor.

Nadia lays down a box of Mimis stuff and scoffs as she looks at the gorgeous model. Yeah. Its a bit rough. She laughs as she looks around the broken bricks that are supposed to somewhat resemble walls. The bedrooms are the last on the list to be renovated. Nadia quickly looks away from Mimis tight skirt. Nadias brown eyes blink quickly as she catches Mimi looking at her.

You like my skirt? Mimis small lips form a smile.

Nadia blinks nervously. Yeah. Its sooo.. Nadia trails off as Mimi bends down and places a box on the floor. Mimi looks back as she places the box on the floor and grins at Nadia. Nadia quickly looks away biting her bottom lip.

Its really soft and soooo flattering on my body. Mimi runs a hand down her body. She grins as Nadias mouth twitches and her eyes open wider than before. She giggles. And guys certainly love it. Nadia shakes her head. No! Nadia gasps and laughs. That was only 2 years ago and I was already with David. She chuckles and pushes back her secret dreams about her coworker.

I recently have broken up with someone and we both may have had our indiscretions; I thought we could work things out, but I picked up on small things here and there after I started classes in Criminal Psychology and he turned out to be stealing someones identity. Mimi swallows hard and pushes down her tears.

Nadia stares at her new roommate shocked. What?! She exclaims.

Mimi nods at Nadia and wipes a tear off her eyes. Yup. I had to switch off my emotions and turn him in. Nadia gulps hard. It was very difficult, but it was a decision I had to make. Nadia looks up at Mimi and wipes her eyes. Mimi smiles. Im sorry that Im making our first day as roommates uncomfortable.

You are a Criminal psychology major, and your ex impersonated someone else. She palms her forehead. That makes sense.

Mimi looks at her and nods. Yeah. Im sorry about that, but. Nadia shakes her head. But nothing. Judging by your past; I totally get it. Thats why I wanted to do a Background Check on you too. Mimi sighs relieved. Thanks. She looks from her Betsey Johnson flower pumps to Nadia. You told me about your stalker, and I promise you that no one will EVER mess with us. She nudges Nadia.
