"So, you're basically in a long-distance relationship?" Maddy questioned Cassie as Kat and I took our seats at the lunch table.

"No, we like FaceTime every night." Cassie defended, turning fully away from her lunch. I gave Kat a confused look as I bit into my apple wondering what on earth we had just walked into.

"Aw, that's so sweet. You guys are full-on in love." BB smiled wide, cup in hand.

"Oh, my God. Stop! We are not in love." Cassie defended herself, eyes wide. "But he did invite me to spend the weekend with him."

"Wait, like, at college?" I questioned loudly. "Cassie that's huge. The whole weekend?"

"Yeah, like Friday and Saturday night." She informed us. I wiggled my eyebrows at her as she spoke which caused her to playfully swat at my face. My phone vibrating from the table pulled my attention away from the conversation at hand.

Fez and I had spent the last three days together following our kiss Friday night. We hadn't really talked labels or what we wanted to be. In fact, we hadn't done too much talking in general as most of our time was spent sharing long, steamy kisses on the couch or in his bedroom while a movie played in the background. Sure, I would love to be official, but we were still getting to know each other so I didn't mind the lack of label.

"Is that a heart? No fucking way!" I had no time to react before Cassie was snatching my phone out of my hand. She held one hand out in my face to keep me from reaching for my phone and used the other to show Maddy the messages on the screen.

"So clearly Cassie and McKay aren't the only two in love." She raised her eyebrows at me with a wide smile. "Hearts are serious business."

"We are not in love!" I felt blood rush to my cheeks as I grabbed my phone back. "We just really like each other."

"Sunshine? That's cute. I'm a whore for a nice pet name." Cassie giggled.

"Sunshine is just one step away from girlfriend, and two steps away from wife." Maddy informed me. How on earth does Sunshine lead to wife?

"Maddy, that's a large jump. We aren't even officially dating, we just like spending time together."

"Yeah, spending time making out and humping each other's legs!" Maddy reached across the table to push me playfully.

"Maddy!"

"Do any of you guys know how Bitcoin works?" Kat pulled our attention toward her. A chorus of 'no' flew around the table.

"I think I know somebody who does." I hesitated. "Fez and Ashtray."

"Yeah," Maddy scoffed. "And you say you're not in love."

After school, Maddy and I walked to Fezco's convenience store where I knew both boys would be working. On the way, I pressed Kat for information about why she needed to know about Bitcoin, but she refused to tell me. Still, I guessed up until we walked under the carport at the store.
