Mason could see her beloved Sophie on the bed in-front of him. He smiled, feeling overjoyed to see her again. It didn't take long for Mason to climb up the string to reach her face.
'Sophie!' Mason said. 'Sophie!'
Sophie scrunched her eyes slightly before they opened up. Her huge pupils locked onto Mason's body. She sat up and stretched slightly without responding at all.
'Sophie?'
'Oh, Mason. You're back.'
Mason looked up at her, confused. Why is she acting like this?
'I wasn't sure if you were coming back,' Sophie continued.
Mason frowned. 'Are you OK?'
Sophie looked down at him. There seemed to be no love in her eyes. It broke Mason. Tears started streaming down his cheeks.
'I'm sorry, OK?' Mason shouted. 'I shouldn't have gone. It's all my fault.'
Mason put his head in his hand, but quickly looked up at Sophie again as she picked him up from the scruff of his neck.
'Naughty boys like you need to be punished.'
'What?' Mason croaked.
Sophie didn't explain. Instead, she drew Mason closer to her mouth. Her mouth opened, releasing hot steam from deep within her body.
'Wait, please!' Mason pleaded. 'I don't like this!'
Sophie didn't hesitate. She placed Mason on her wet tongue and he slipped down towards her throat. He looked back to see her lips closing.
'No!'
Sophie seemed to hesitate. She opened her lips again, and Mason saw a much brighter light coming in than before. It seemed fluorescent, like in a place I've been to before...
Mason sat up with a jolt. He was in the plastic prison. The lights had seemingly just activated.
'What kind of nightmare was that?' Mason cursed, rubbing his head.
He rubbed his eyes and looked at the others around him. They were slowly awakening, too. None of them seemed to have the same reaction as Mason. In fact, many of them seemed to wake up peacefully from a nice dream.
Mason shook his head to try and forget the nightmare. He sprung to his legs, ready to do a workout. It was always what he did to get through negative experiences. He noticed that his muscles didn't feel sore at all from the manhandling yesterday. It was widely reported that micros healed faster than macros. Perhaps because there's less body to heal.
Mason was about to start a warm-up run before he remembered the comment Steve made yesterday about joining him for a work-out. He scanned the crowd to see Steve waking up slowly with the clique he was a part of. Mason made his way over to him confidently.
'Hey Steve,' Mason grunted, still waking up.
'Oh, hi Mason,' Steve responded, noticeably less friendly.
Mason frowned as he remembered his own anger outburst. 'Sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to get so angry like that. I just really want to get out of here.'
'Yeah,' Steven acknowledged. 'You and me both.' Steve frowned. 'I just don't even know who you are.'
Mason nodded in understanding. 'I get it, but I can't discuss my whole past. It's pretty controversial.'
'I don't care,' Steven snapped. 'All we have in here is each other.' He sighed. 'I get it. Just feel free to tell me when you feel it's right.'
'Sure,' Mason responded. He smiled. 'Want to work out?'
