Chapter 5: The Enemy (Part 1)

"The question is why did he approach you? I mean, it doesn't make sense na nagpakita siya sa'yo sa school at binisita ka niya sa panaginip mo dahil lang nakita mo siya sa gubat." Atlas said while holding his chin. That confuses me too. Kung yun nga ang dahilan niya, bakit ako lang? Dapat nagpakita rin siya kay Cy.

"Mag meryenda muna kayo." Inilapag ni Aqua ang sandwiches at juice sa center table. Nandito sila ngayon sa bahay dahil ibinalita ni Kuya ang nangyari kagabi. Sabado ngayon kaya wala kaming klase.

"Thank you po!" Pasasalamat ni Miku na may kasamang malawak na ngiti.

"How are we gonna hunt him?" Kuya asked. I was thinking the same thing. Paano namin siya mahahanap kung sumusulpot at nawawala lang siya bigla. Hindi rin siya nag-iiwan ng traces. A normal keeper could never be this clever. If my hunch is right this Faro has a high position in either of the kingdoms.

"We don't have to, he'll come to us." Cyrex assured that made us turned our gaze to him. "We may not know anything else about his alias but one thing is for sure, he is interested or should I say connected to Kaimira. The fact that he only introduced himself to her even if I also saw him in the forest is enough for us to conclude that Mira is her target." Mula ng mapabilang ako sa so-called team nila ay eto pa lang ang pinakamahabang nasabi niya.

"I don't like where this conversation is going. Are you saying that we'll use my sister to lure him?" Rex- I mean, Kuya interfered raising his voice a little.

"We shouldn't miss this kind of opportunity." Cyrus rebutted. I can sense a tension building up in here.

"You call this an opportunity? What kind of opportunity? An opportunity of my sister getting harmed?" Mas tumataas na ang boses niya. It's awkward to say but, he is really protective of me since we were little and I am somehow grateful for that. He'll risk everything to make me safe and that created a wall between us two years ago.

"If Mira is fine with it then we'll push my plan. But if she's not then you guys should come up of a better one." Bakit naman parang sa'kin lang nakasalalay ang desisyon? Well, I understand Rex being worried about my safety but I am not Malik's daughter for nothing. Besides, this might help us identify the keepers who have been working for him.

"I'm fine with it." Naningkit ang mga mata ni Kuya. He gave me an "Are you serious?" look. I nodded and gave him a smile as an answer.

"Sigurado ka ba, Mira? Magiging delikado 'yon para sa'yo." Nag-aalalang tanong ni Miku. Mas magiging delikado para sa lahat kung hindi namin matutukoy kung sino ba ang mukha sa likod ng maskara na 'yon.

We have to make a move.

Since Faro showed himself up to me when I was alone we decided that I spend this whole day without anyone beside me. First, I went up there and visited the forest where I first met him but I sensed none of his presence there. He might became cautious about that place ever since we witnessed him killing one of our knight.

Bumalik ako sa mansion at nagpasiyahang puntahan ang isang taong matagal ko ng hindi nakikita. Ninakaw ko ang susi sa natutulog na si Mr. Brooke. Pinatulog ko rin ang ibang guards na nakabantay. Hindi ako napansin ni Aqua dahil abala ito sa pagluluto. Sina Daddy at Mommy ay may naka schedule na business meeting sa isang potential investor. Kinailangan ko pang ipuslit ang sasakyan dahil wala akong driver's license unlike Rex. Hindi ako pinayagan ni Daddy dahil malapit daw ako disgrasya. Ayaw niyang magkaroon kami ng police record dahil makakasira daw 'yon sa pangalan niya.

I started the engine and discreetly drive my way out of the mansion. Suot ko ang earbuds dahil naka group call kami. Para daw malaman nila agad sakaling may hindi magandang mangyari sa'kin.

Tahimik ang kalsada at wala masyadong sasakyan kaya mabilis akong nakarating sa destinasyon.

I bought a flower from a flower shop near the place. Nagpatuloy ako sa paglalakad hanggang sa makita ang hinahanap ko. I stopped infront of tombstone and put the flowers beside it.

Nangilid ang luha sa mga mata ko. Dalawang taon na pero parang kahapon lang dahil sariwa parin ang sakit. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko parin napapatawad ang sarili dahil sa nangyari.

"Sorry, ngayon lang ulit ako nakadalaw." I wiped away my tears and forced a smile. My Dad said that when a person dies, his or her soul becomes a flower in Lord Dominus' garden. They patiently wait until the right time for them to bloom again will come.

"I'm sorry.. for everything.. For being the reason why you died."

Hindi ko na napigilan ang pag-iyak. It is my job to protect the world and the people living in it but someone got killed because of me.

"That is the very reason why humans think highly of themselves. You're crying on a low-life creature."

A familiar voice spoke to my ears. My fist clenched not because of his presence, but because he describe my friend as a low-life creature.

"Faro.." I spit his name like a poison. He is still wearing his favorite robe and mask. The team heard of it and started bombarding me with questions.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I might have hurt your ego. After all, that girl died because you have to live. Honestly, I wanna thank her for that." A red rose appeared from his hand. He attempted to put it on Claire's grave, he made it float like a feather but I destroyed it before it landed on her tomb.

"Are you gonna doom the world today?" I asked while holding a grip to my water strap, an electricity is flowing from its handle down to its tip.

"Not until we doom it together, Your Highness."

[CYRUS]

"Not until we doom it together, Your Highness."

My companions are starting to freak out the moment they heard our enemy's voice. Miku is bombarding Mira with questions as if she's gonna give a reply. Atlas is driving Rex's car because this man can't calm down and is dead worried about his twin.

"Why don't we just teleport?!" He asked in a higher than his normal tone voice.

"Once we use our ability Faro or his Knights will sense us. Something bad or worse may happen to your sister."

I said while staring at the sky. It sudden turned gray. Thunder roars and lightning, plus the heavy rain caused the pedestrians to run and find a place to shed. Something's not right. It's either Faro is preparing to dominate the world or Kaimira is having hard time suppressing her emotions, I'm not sure. After all, she possess the gift of water element.

"What exactly do you want from me?"

I can sense the anger in her voice. I cannot clearly hear what they are talking about because these gals are being loud. As if panicking will help to calm the situation.

Atlas quickly stepped on to the car's break when a thunder lightning almost hit our car. If Mira will not suppress her emotions she's gonna doom this city.

"Hello, Mira? Are you okay? Answer me for heaven's sake. You are making me freak out!"

"Mira, is everything okay there? Please calm down. We're on our way."

I let out a deep sigh. No matter what they say she's not gonna listen. Our emotions are the hardest enemy to defeat.

"Cyrus, I told you this wasn't a good idea!" Kairex exclaimed. Now, he is mad. Freaking mad.

"Panicking will cause us no good." I calmly replied. I was the one who suggested the plan so I am liable of her. I will not let anything worse happen to Mira, for now, that I can guarantee.

"Should something bad happens to my sister, I swear to the Kings, forget about us being friends. Prepare for a war."
