3rd POV
It was hotter today than any other as the sun gleamed upon everything in sight. Almost a hundred degrees to be in fact, but according to the forecast it was bound to rain.
"Do we even have air conditioning?" Aslan's best friend Leia exclaimed, flapping her loose shirt to make some form of wind.
"It broke remember, Landlord was suppose to come fix it but we all know his ass is not." Aslan had a massive headache on top of having to studying for her upcoming exam and the exaggerating heat made her day the least bit better.
"Well what are we supposed to do? Burn up!" Ti exclaimed, throwing her hands up dramatically.
"We could go get ice cream and plus Walmart is probably the coldest right now."
The girls looked at each other and shrugged. Ti got up off the couch standing to her 5'11 height and walked off down the hall to her room, only for the rest to follow seconds later.
The apartment they lived in was a three bedroom, but with small space. Every room was small, even the kitchen and living room, but it was what they could afford with all the debt stacking from schooling.
It was their second year of schooling, all three of them working for degrees in culinary arts. Aslan being eighteen, Ti just turning twenty, and Leia eighteen. Another reason for their poor living situation was because of how much they were saving so that they could open their restaurant after school.
People make tons of sacrifices everyday, this one is just theirs.
Going into her room Aslan went through her drawers pulling out some exceedingly short shorts and a spaghetti strapped tank. She wasn't wearing anything too covering or she'd sweat out her ass.
Going into the bathroom in the hall she took a quick shower just to get her body rid of the already built up sweat from the day. When she finished she lathered her body in lotion, then threw on her clothes.
"Aye Aslan are you ready?" Leia asked yelling from the living room. Her and Ti stood waiting on Aslan, already finished putting on their clothes.
Aslan opened up the door coming out. "I can't find my crocks." She pouted.
...
The girls stood near the freezers in Walmart, picking a tub of ice cream for the each of them. When they had first arrived it wasn't even a second later when the clouds started to crowd around the sun and the sky became slightly darker. It had began drizzling just a tad, the weather being unpredictable today.
But the the girls didn't mind. They'd rather have it hard down raining then how hot it was earlier.
"I'll be back, I'm gonna get some chips while I'm here." Aslan said walking away.
She walked four isles down until she reached the one with the variety of chips on the shelves. She grabbed the purpled bag of Doritos, after deciding between them and the red bag.
Though chips were the least on her mind. It was the feeling of how dull this day was out of the rest. The now pouring rain outside and the extreme heat from earlier were examples, but she could sense that it wasn't that.
