Aslan Myers
I walked downstairs in the Main house just after a hot shower in a black turtle neck, black pants, and olive green trench coat in my hands. Certainly, after recent events I can say I haven't spiraled out of control. Even so I haven't left the house in almost two weeks, they've only been trips from the Main house to Xhristian's.
I can even say I'm scared, because that's what I am. It hasn't been long since we've escaped that place, but I'd slowly began to heal those wounds, now, it feels as if they've been torn open.
Trauma is different from fear. Fears you can overcome, whereas trauma most don't come back from. This is why I haven't told Leía or Ti about what happened, I don't want to be the one to bring back their trauma.
I've listened to Xhristian rage everyday since then on finding him, but to no ordeal. It's eating him alive that he hasn't been able to find him. He spends most of his time at the warehouse, somewhere I haven't been permitted.
Until today....
My feet led me cautiously to the door of someone I vowed not to go near as long as I was here. I inhaled deeply and exhaled before knocking on his office door. "Come in." Said the voice that made my skin crawl after a few seconds.
My sweaty palms met his door knob and slid the door open slowly inviting myself in.
The moment Xhristian's dad's eyes met me they lowered into slits. He glared at me with every step I took. "Can I sit?" I asked politely after appearing in front of his desk.
He nodded his head in direction of the chair giving me permission. I sat down and an awkward silence flowed through the air for what felt forever. "What do you want?" He asked with aggravation lacing his tone.
"I want to go to the warehouse." I said monotonously.
He scoffed putting the folder he had in his hands down on the desk. "That's not a place little girls such as yourself should go. It's not a playground."
"I wasn't asking."
A smirk crept upon his features. "I heard you and Xhristian have become distant. Is that why you want to go so badly? To chase him?" He paused. "You're very shallow minded if you think he'd settle that quickly for you, nevertheless a little girl."
His words stung, but true. I've thought about that too from time and time again. Questions piled into my mind to find the real reason Xhristian was with me. I thought maybe I was just some other girl and he was showing sympathy for me, yet I don't think Xhristian knows what sympathy is....
"Listen, I didn't ask to be here. And I love how you praise him so much, he's much like you. The whole package. Wait no— maybe he's more, maybe he'd wipe the floor with you if you weren't his father, maybe he'd do it because you're his father." A small giggle left me lips. "Let's be honest I'm not the only one shallow minded, it's the fact that you think you're in his good graces that makes you shallow minded. He'd kill you without a thought."
In his eyes I could tell he knew that too but he tried his best to not show it. "You wanna know who the real Xhristian is?" He arched his brow asking before reaching over to the office phone. "Haru, take Aslan to the warehouse."
I released a relieving breath, yet my heart felt like it sunk. He put the phone down and looked into my eyes. "What you see hopefully will complete the widening distance. I hope it eats you alive." He paused watching me rise from the chair. "Don't think you've seen it all until you've seen it all Aslan."
Those were his last words before Id walked out of the office. Waiting for me there was no other then Haru. I wished to tell leí and Ti where I was going, but they'd definitely talk me out of going. So, I left the house without anyone knowing.
