Emily
"The only reason I'm agreeing to this is because your going to buy me lunch later." I mumble to Mia.
Who was currently pretending to be oblivious to my complaining.
I walk with my hands in my pockets as Mia skips next to me.
We were going to a soccer match for our schools team.
And since I was the only person that did not have plans for the day Mia decided it would be a good idea to invite me.
"Why on earth do you want to go to a soccer match?" I asked Mia looking at her waiting for a response.
"I'm thinking of joining the soccer team." She muttered quietly.
I looked at her in shock before figuring out what to say.
"That's great!" I told her.
She smiled gratefully at me before turning away again.
"But I'm still mad at you for making me come with you though." I told her looking right at her innocent face.
She smiled even more and I grumbled a few questionable phrases under my breath.
When we got to the field I followed Mia as she walked up the bleachers and found us seats.
The game started and was somewhat entertaining.
I was mostly looking at the girl I ran into a while ago.
When I say mostly I mean I only looked at the girl.
I non stalker sort of way.
I think.
Even though I had never played soccer I could tell she was good.
The ball almost went through the goal and the girl just kicked it all the way across the field.
During the last part of the I could hear Mia getting excited but all I could see was the girl just staring into space.
And being the idiot that I am I yelled at her.
"Hey!" I yelled out.
She jumped slightly from her trance and looked down just in time to pass the ball to another player.
I shrunk back in my seat feeling very embarrassed and red in the face.
Mia looked at me for a second before smiling with an evil looking glint in her eyes.
"Somebody's embarrassed!" She burst out laughing.
"I am not!" I told her scowling.
She ignores my comment and continues her taunting.
I scowl harder and cover my very red face with my arms.
Mia just laughs and turns back to the game putting her arms around my shoulders.
I try to pull them off only to feel her tighten her hold.
I sigh in exasperation and lean back accepting my fate.
Just as I close my eyes ready to take a nap of sorts I hear Mia talk right into my ear.
"Games over!" She chirps loudly.
"Ow." I mumble rubbing my ear.
"Let's go get some food!" Mia yells once more dragging me away.
"I am never doing this again." I told the back of her head.
If only I knew how wrong I was.
Authors notes
Have I said before how much I love Mia?
As you can tell I forgot everything I know about soccer so this game goes by very quickly.
I think I finished this on time...
Next week is Grace's pov.
I will try to learn about soccer once more.
