Kai and Lydia got out of the car and headed into the building. They walked up to the lady at the desk. The lady smiles at them.
"Hello, luv." He smiled, compelling her. "Do tell, where are the areas off limits to general staff? We are looking for a certain something."
"You just wait right here...and I'll have someone out here to help you with your inquiry." She smiled, hitting a button to a silent alarm.
"Freeze! Don't move!" The guards shouted, pointing their guns at them, alarm blaring.
"Shall we?" Lydia asked.
"Ladies first." Kai smiled at the red head.
They attacked the guards, there was shooting and yelling, as the alarm continued. The last guard was thrown through the door by Kai. After they moved on, checking the place. There was nothing here and no sign of Rowan. ----------------------------------------- They left and got back in the car, driving to Ariaelle's.
Kai looked over at his fiance. "What's troubling you, love?"
She shrugged. "I just wonder sometimes..are we doing a good job? I mean look at this whole Rowan mess where mine and my brother's bad past is coming back at us. I don't want this to be their life."
"Lydia," He sighed.
"I..just don't want to screw it up and be like our parents. I mean my mother was a good person from what I remember but she died when I was Clarissa's age."
"I understand, but I know one thing for sure. We are not our parents. We are doing good by them and you've seen the little triplets as well as Brett and Malia."
"You're right. I know."
"I was scared of messing things up too, 7 years ago when I found out I was having a daughter, but I had you and you assured me everything was gonna be okay." Kai told her. "And plus, someone also once told me that only the good parents worry about messing their kids up, it means your doing something right."
Lydia looked over, smiling at him and he smiled back at her.
"I wonder if they finished it already." Lydia said as Kai's phone rang. He pulled it out and it was Rebekah.
"Ask her yourself." He smiled, handing her the phone. She was about to answer when another car rammed into Lydia's side of the car, causing them to crash.
Both of the cars were destroyed, Kai shook his head and looked around after noticing Lydia was missing from the car. He looked through the shattered back window and saw her outside. She was lying on the ground and a piece of wood was sticking out of her side. He got out slowly and was headed over to check on her when Rowan appeared. He gasped seeing him.
