3. MADWOMAN

Dryce glares at his phone, which was ringing because of Marcus' call. Instead of answering it, he just laid it on the tray table in front of him and stared at it as if it would disappear in front of him at any moment like magic.

'Why the hell is he calling again?' he mumbled in annoyance, killing his phone with his glare.

"Excuse me. Are you not going to answer it?" an unhappy question from Dryce's seatmate on the plane.

"No," he replied quickly without even looking at the woman.

"It's so noisy, mister. If you don't want to answer it, maybe you can turn off your phone instead? Or set it in a silent mode? Ever heard of that? Vibrate... you know? "

He turned to the woman beside him. 'This bitch didn't know how to mind her business.' He thought while looking at her irritably.

"Can you just shut your mouth?" He uttered coldly as his eyebrows furrowed.

"Why would I?" Tamara snaps back. "The problem here is your loud ringtone," Mara added. "I mean, who is the sensible person to set a full blast ringtone on their cellphone nowadays?"

"And you think your fucking mouth isn't?" He doesn't want to argue, but she's getting on his nerves, especially since he is beginning to regret why he volunteered to board this garbage plane.

His cellphone stops ringing.

Again, he looked at the annoying girl next to him when he heard her chuckle a little. Is she crazy? Why is she laughing? "Something funny?" he asked her.

"Yes, you. You and your annoying ass!"

"What the f—"

"You, shut up! Shut up! she cried out."

"The hell? Who do you think you are? Why are you shouting at me? Don't you know me?"

"And why do I have to know you before shouting, huh? You insulted me first, assh*le!" Dryce's eyes widened in shock when the woman suddenly started crying.

"Yah, shut up." he groaned, but it only made the crazy b*tch cry even louder. As if someone bullied her. "I haven't done anything to you yet. Stop crying!"

Dryce massaged his nape when he noticed that all the passengers were looking at them/him. And the woman seems to enjoy the attention because it only makes her cry even more.

"Excuse me, Sir? Does ma'am have a problem?" Dryce didn't notice the stewardess that was already standing by his side. "Do you mind if you guys lower your voices, please?" The woman asked gently.

"Why are you asking me? I don't even know her," He said and sat up properly as if nothing had happened.

Suddenly, the woman next to her fell silent.

But he almost jumped in his seat when she suddenly brought her face close to his. "Shit!" he uttered.

The girl's hair was messy because she had almost put her face inside the bag she was holding while she was crying. It was as if an evil spirit were possessing her.

"That's not true," she said in an almost hoarse voice.

"Pardon, maam?" the stewardess asked as she did not understand what Tamara had just said.

"What?" and Dryce was too stunned to understand the words she just spat. "What did you just say?"

The look of disgust and whispers from the other passenger made Dryce laugh in anger.

"I am asking why! Why are you breaking up with me now that we are already here? Babe, I love you so much. Don't be like this. Why are you so eager to break up with me? Am I not enough for you? Am I not beautiful and young enough? But I am just nineteen, and I have already given you my everything. How could you do this to me? Why?" Tamaras acting continued beside him as he realised what she was doing.

"What the fuck are you doing?" He asked in horror. He might have strangled her if they were not on the plane right now. "Are you crazy?" oh no, erase that. Yes, she is crazy. Why am I even asking?

Tamara began crying again. Dryce just laughed because he was so annoyed with Mara and didnt know how to kill her in front of their co-passengers.

"Yes, I'm crazy about you, so don't you ever leave me. After all that we've been through, you will just kick me out of your life? Why babeeeee?" She cried loudly; obviously, it was intentional. And she's annoying as f*ck.

Dryce massaged his temple. He doesn't know if he will going to laugh or just kill Tamara Park right away. The woman seemed so naturally crazy and annoying. So he started to think of a plan to kick her out of the plane. He was certain that no one would try to stop him.

"Sir, maybe you both can talk calmly about your problem. It's a bit loud, and you guys are disturbing the other passengers. You also need to fasten your seatbelt because we are about to take off in a few minutes." the woman said before leaving them.

Dryce fell silent as he calmed himself. Now, he regrets why he wanted to follow this brat, who is still crying and not done with her madness.

'Persistent woman. Very determined to embarrass me.' Dryce thought.

But her cry is unlike earlier when she was crying intentionally. Now, it is quieter, but her tears are still dripping from her eyes while looking out the window. Is she crying for real? he sighed. 'So what if she died from crying? Who cares?'

After a few minutes of Mara's drama

"Can you just stop?" He scolded Tamara with a low voice when he heard her hiccuping because of non-stop crying.

"Why do you care?" Tamara snapped back.

"Who said I care? I just need you to stop sniffing because it's disgusting to listen to. As if boarding on this rubbish plane is not challenging enough! And having you snorting beside me is not helping." Dryce's complaint

Instead of arguing with Dryce, Tamara bowed and continued crying quietly until the plane took off.

Meanwhile, Dryce was very grateful because the madwoman next to him suddenly fell silent.

"Fuck!" Dryce was startled to wake up from the vigorous shaking of the plane. But what awakened him more was Tamara, who was struggling to breathe while shutting her eyes as she was gripping tightly on both armrests of her chair. Dryce also noticed that Tamara's face was pale, and she seemed to freeze every time the plane shook.

"Hey," He tried to tap her on the arm, but she shook her head rapidly and refused to open her eyes. "Hey, it's okay." Dryce couldn't understand why he felt so concerned about this madwoman. He seems to be the one who is crazy right now.

"No. You said it was safe to ride on this plane. But why is it like this? I'm not ready to die yet not yet!"

'Why is she blaming me? Is it my fault that the plane we boarded was rusted?' Due to the size of the aircraft, everyone could also feel the pressure that the plane was having. 'Doesn't she know that?'

"Calm down, will you?" he sighed when she didn't answer. "Hey, open your eyes." still not responding. "Hey, I said, open your fucking eyes and look at me. Baaabe!" He deliberately stressed the last word so he could be sure that Tamara could hear it.

And she didn't disappoint him. Tamara opened her eyes and immediately gave him a death glare. "Much better," he said. "Now, how do you feel?" He asked in an attempt to calm her down.

"I want to throw you off the plane," Tamara sounded resentful.

"Good. 'Coz I feel the same. I also want to throw you off the plane right now." Dryce smiled smugly. The kind of smile that will irritate Tamara even more and might trigger her to think of jumping off the plane voluntarily.
