It's been seven hours since Taipan has heard from RYNO Squadron. She takes a deep breath and leans against a pillar that overlooks the hollow base. She lifts up her datapad looking over the roster again. Meal rotations are at:

No kidding the base doesn't sleep. Taipan thinks. So now all they have to do is wait for Admiral Rampart to show up. Since he's planning on overseeing Taipan's treatment he might show up between Lunch Beta and Open Mess Beta.

Taipan smirks recalling Mech yelling at the recruit on the firing range. He fell so easily into the authoritative role it's no surprise he's the leader of RYNO. She pulls up his duty roster.

She begins writing her report on Escape Procedures that the Captain is to be reassigned to Security.
'In case of an Echo-Sierra-4-16-3, troopers are to secure the turbolift and block all exits. Captain IC-5570 is to report to the armory.'
She then changes all Mech's daily tasks to 'Classified Operations.'
Taipan looks up from her datapad. The base is as busy as ever. The midday sun beats straight down into the base. It reflects off the metal panels creating a glare on her datapad. She hooks the device on her belt and goes to her barracks to finish up.
She enters an empty room and shuts off the automatic lights preferring to sit in the dark. She finds a seat on her bed leaning on her knees. She inhales a pained breath as her elbow hits a wound. She rubs her thigh sitting on the floor and pulls up Sparkstick's file.
