Star 1: Stay at Home When You're PMsing
"I was walking here! Didn't you see me walking here? Why didn't you move? Do you think it's funny that I bumped into you?!" I yelled at the brown-haired stranger I just ran into.
He blinked at me, shocked at my sudden outburst.
"I uh I'm sorry?" it sounded more like a question than an answer.
"I didn't ask for the worst apology in history!" I replied angrily.
His eyebrows rose in surprise and then he glared at me.
"Stay at home when you're PMSing!" he yelled. "No one should have to deal with your attitude!"
I gaped at him, not believing he just said that.
"You're a jerk!" I yelled angrily as he stormed past me.
"And I'm not PMSing!" I called out earning a few weird looks by some people that were walking the streets of Barcelona on a summer afternoon.
I growled in frustration as I walked back home. That annoying jerk!
Sitting on my bed a few minutes later, I thought about the argument I just had with my so called best friend, Claire. That bitch was flirting with Mark and she knew I've been crushing on him for years! My head replayed the argument we had in the coffee shop.
I went to Starbucks to get a tasty chocolate muffin and I found her there, talking to Mark. My first thought was that they ran into each other and she just went to say hi, but as I took a step closer to them, I could hear her voice as she flirted with him and giggled.
“You’re so funny, Mark,” she had said, giggling like a little girl and I immediately recognized her ‘flirting’ voice.
I stopped walking and just listened to their conversation. She had her back turned to me and Mark didn’t notice my presence yet.
I clenched my teeth when she ran her fingers up and down his arms, giving him a seductive smile.
He gave her a charming smile and took a step closer to her. Angry tears filled my eyes when I saw my best friend lean in and whisper something in his ear.
I’m not the kind of person that would run away from this situation and cry alone. No, I’m the kind of person that did exactly what I did next.
“You slut!” I yelled, attracting a few people’s attention, including my best friend and my crush.
If it weren’t for the situation I was in, I would’ve laughed at the way her eyes widened in shock.
“A-Alexia,” she stammered. “I-I didn’t see you there.”
She looked shocked but not guilty at all. Mark just looked confused about the whole thing.
“Damn right you didn’t!” I retorted. “Or else you wouldn’t have flirted shamelessly with the guy I’ve been crushing on for years!”
When I’m angry, I say things without thinking so of course I just had to embarrass myself even more in front of Mark by admitting that I had a crush on him.
She seemed at loss for words. Mark spoke though.
“Crush? Me?” He asked, surprised. “Why didn’t you tell me before? You have a hot body…” He said the last part more to himself but I heard him clearly as his eyes scanned my body.
