Prologue: "Love is like the wind, you can't see it but you can feel it."
Why am I in this world? Is there a reason behind my existence? What if I were born in a different family? What if I were a blond not a brunette? What if I ordered coke instead of orange juice yesterday? What if I made a different choice at some point in my life? Would it make a difference? Is there someone responsible for all this? Is there a God or some sort of force that determines all these things in our lives?
I guess I've always known that it's impossible to answer most of those questions but what I got during summer 2012 was as close as I would get to an answer. The 'answers' were more of life lessons; the way to live my life the best and without doubts. Some lessons were deep and others just made me laugh my ass off but they were all useful. My whole life changed that summer. Everything I thought I knew was wrong. I grew up that summer, I got more mature, and I owe it all to Daniel, the boy I fell in love with.
Loving a guy had always seemed impossible to me because I was just a teenager and I never believed that teenagers could love a person so greatly. I love a lot of people, don't get me wrong, but my love for Daniel was different. It was the kind of love you saw in fairytales and Disney movies. At some point, I used to doubt my feelings, thinking that it's not possible to love someone that much. But a smile from Daniel was all I needed for my heart beat to accelerate and confirm my feelings for him. I even believed that he was my soul mate although I wasn't the type of person that would believe in such a thing.
Love, I concluded, is one of the best things I have ever experienced but who said that it always has a happy ending?
