The fallen leaves tell a story.
The great Elden Ring was shattered.
In our home, across the fog, the Lands Between.
Now, Queen Marika the Eternal is nowhere to be found, and in the night of the Black Knives, Godwyn the Golden was the first to perish.
Soon Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring.
The mad taint of their newfound strength triggered the Shattering.
A war from which no lord arose.
A war leading to abandonment by the Greater Will.
Arise now, ye Tarnished.
Ye dead, who yet live.
The long-lost call of grace speaks to us all.
Hoarah Loux, chieftain of the badlands.
The ever-brilliant Goldmask.
Fia, the Deathbed Companion.
The loathsome Dung Eater.
And Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing.
And one other.
Whom grace would again bless.
A Tarnished of no renown.
Cross the fog, to the Lands Between.
To stand before the Elden Ring.
And become the Elden Lord.A Tarnished turned as the woke up in the Church of Anticipation. They walked by what looked to be a shattered mirror. This person was dressed up in knight armour.
He was also wielding a Carian Straight Sword along with a Glintstone Staff on his back. He also had Glintstone Pebble and Carian Slicer memorized. He then started walking around before resting at the grace.
The Tarnished looked around the chapel he was in. It looked like it was crumbling down. As he looked around, he seen a corpse up against the wall. It was a finger maiden. She was holding what looked to be a finger in her hands. There was a message on the ground and he decided to read it.
"Though the path be broken and uncertain, claim your place as Elden Lord!"
He sighs and mumbled "I'm sorry. I'll carry on your wish for you. I'm sure you'd be happy if you were here." He then gently pried the finger out of her hands to not disturb her in death.
Tarnished's Wizened Finger - A finger of corpse wax, so emaciated the bone is visible. It is a relic of those who came before, left to help those who would come after.
He then walked to the doors of the chapel and with a hefty push, they opened on up.
"Where am I?" He said as he looked around, the sky seemed to stretch on for miles, and the ground seemed to be miles away. He then headed down the stairs and crossed a creaky wooden bridge. "Hm, this place seems too open. I better stay alert." Just then, a Grafted Scion fell into the oddly arena shaped place. The Tarnished pulled out his weapons "Your plague of death ends here."
He then cast a couple of Glintstone Pebbles before the Scion charged at him. He dodged the attack and stabbed it in its side? He didn't really know. Then the scion turned around and attacked, to which the Tarnished parried, to which the scion wasn't expecting, so he wobbled as he tried to regain his stance. The Tarnished then stabbed the scion in the middle of its multiple heads, and then it fell to the ground and faded, leaving behind its shield and swords. He picked them up, probably never going to use them, but decided if he needed to, they were there. He then kept walking, eventually getting to a cliff. Then, the rocks crumbled, and the cliff went down, and so did the Tarnished.
The end, or is it?
