I was working with Emma in my office before Stark comes booming in my door. What's the point of having a door at this point?

"Kara, your father is on the phone" he says almost scared. Which believe me was odd. Tony Stark was never scared. I look to Emma confused before grabbing the cell phone out of Tony's hand.

"Dad?" I ask hesitantly. No response had come through but I could hear my mother in the background. "Dad?!" I ask a bit louder before he came to his senses.

"Kay! Your brother is going to the hospital, how fast can you get here?" He asks and I stiffen from my toes to my back. Emma must've heard because she dragged Tony out of the room. As my mind was going through a million issues, I could hear Emma tell Tony to get me a cab.

"I can be there in an hour and a half! What the hell happened?" I ask while packing all of my stuff into my purse with no care. With no response back, the call ends abruptly while the sirens grow louder. I run out my office door, not bothering to lock it while handing Tony back his phone.

I think I knew deep down what was wrong with Joshua. The moment Joshua was born, the doctors knew he had a problem and less than 3 hours later he was diagnosed with a irregular heart beat. This caused him to have seizures often but only a few had put him in the hospital, which means this one was bad. My parents lived an hour away from my place. I wanted too live closer but the job wouldn't let me.

Thankfully the elevator was on the level and we were able to make it down all the floors without any stops. Emma knew I couldn't drive right now. Anytime I'm having a panic attack, I forget almost all of my senses, and we could both sense a panic attack the moment my fathers voice was blaring through the speaker phone. I run past Hailey who asks the worrying questions. Emma stops to fill her in and Stark watches me leave the building and run into the cab.

"Where too Ma'am?" He asks and I rub my head in stress while trying to remember of the ER Joshua went to growing up. "Uh, Lenox Hill ER please?" I almost beg and he basically speeds through the traffic. I'm trying to text my mom, Teresa but I'm shaking from the car and my own anxiety. While typing out my message, my phone starts ringing. It was an Unknown number but I have to answer it.

I click the green button before putting the phone to my ear. "Uh Kara Franks from Stark Law?" I say with an uncertainty before the little laugh becomes a a song in my ear. "Hi Kara!!" She says excitedly before I let out a relived sigh. "Hi Riley, your Daddy anywhere near?" I ask and she give an assuring 'mhm' before struggling to what I presume is off the bar stool. Soon the rumble of the phone adds to the honking horns and bustling streets. I can hear him whisper. 'Who is it?' and Riley loudly whisper 'Kara.'

"Hey Kara, I'm not sure how Riley got my phone but she did, your on speaker by the way" he says in a sorrowful way. I chuckle it off before the cab driver slammed his hands on the wheel. "No worries James, Can we actually reschedule todays meeting? Something came up and I wont be able to make it." I ask and I can hear Riley pout and whine. James shushes her and her feet peddles off to the unknown. "Uh yeah, no problem, when should we reschedule?" he asks and I rub my forehead trying to jog my memory as the ER comes into vision. Still miles away but more in sight. "Uh I'm free all of tomorrow, I can meet you at your office? Unless you need to do it later in the evening?" I say and he verbally ponders. "We can do it at my office, how about 3?" He offers and I smile, even though he can't see it. "Yeah 3 is perfect. I actually have to go but I'll see you at 3!" I say before we leave with our goodbyes.

The driver becomes more slower and I my leg continues to bounce up and down. "This may be illegal but I will pay you more to get me to that ER quicker" I say and he looks back to me in the rear view mirror. "It is illegal Ma'am" He says and I snicker with impatience. "Good thing I'm a lawyer, but my brother is in that hospital and I need to get there immediately." And he starts hoping lanes to pass everyone. Normally I would disagree but I need to make sure Joshua is okay.
