I'm always complaining about walking to school, and how cool Andie looks when she's on her skateboard, so today she's decided to teach me how to ride one. "I'm not so sure about this Andie..." I say nervously as I step onto the board. I steady my hands on her shoulders and she cups my elbows with her hands.

"Dude you wanted to learn- Hey you're almost as-wait no." She stares straight ahead, which is slightly over the top of me. "You're still shorter." I mimic her in a speedy fashion but she just sticks out her tongue. "Okay now, we shall go over... Here." I grip onto her shoulders even tighter once she starts to walk sideways towards the end of the sidewalk. "The rest of the street is downhill, you should stop once you reach the school."

"But what if-"

"So I don't even really have to teach you. You can just roll down to school everyday and walk back." Andie suggests. "Now if you will excuse me, there is a Scooby Doo marathon on TV." She points behind her and twists herself out of my grip, causing me to begin to roll down the sidewalk.

"And-Andie! Andie wait no!" My arms flail at my sides as I try to keep my balance, but I'm flat footed. Balance isn't part of my nature. "Andie help!" She's still standing in her driveway, watching with a concerned look.

"Lean left, no your le- Look out for that mailbox!" I swerve to the side, my elbow scratching the wooden post.

"OW!" I cup my elbow in my hand and look back with a horrified face. "I am not having fun Andie. I am NOT HAVING FUN!" Andie's face is red with laughter and I turn away with an angry face, just in time to see the curb. I hit it straight on and am thrown onto the grass as the board continues to roll down hill.

"Shit Rayne!" Andie runs towards me. "You okay?" I grab her hand and pull myself up.

"Just. Peachy." I wipe my grassy hands on my legs and search for the skateboard. "Let's go ge-" Just as I start to speak a group of motorcyclists ride by... And right over Andie's board.

"Are you kidding me?" Andie shrieks. She starts to chase after the motorcyclists who have stopped moving. "Hey jackasses!" I cringe when she catches up to them, knowing that I'm going to have to go fetch her.

"Sup baby." The guy in the front takes off his helmet and shakes out his short blond curls.

"Well, baby," Andie bunches her hands into fists at her sides and takes a step right in front of him. I think his name is Mac. "You ran over my board." Mac smirks and turns his head to the two guys behind him. Harry is on the left, I can tell because of his eyes, which are glued to me. The other guy has hazel eyes that seem to be focused on the spat going on between Andie and Mac, which I've stopped listening to. "I bet your dick is real small, that's why you act this way." Mac stands up quickly and pushes his shoulders forward in a threatening way.

"Watch your mouth bitch!" He takes a swing at Andie and she ducks before kicking him in the crotch.

"No. You watch your mouth. Bitch." Andie spits at him as he bends over in pain. The boy with hazel eyes is laughing and trying to pick a verbal fight with Mac.

"She told you Mac. Hah." He kicks his kickstand back and winks at Andie before riding away. Harry finally looks away from me and follows him. Mac waits, and by the time Andie grabs my hand an pulls me away from the road, he's gone.

"You, are crazy!" I pull my hand out of her grasp and laugh in disbelief. Andie shrugs and keeps moving at a steady pace.

"I don't take shit from jerks Rayne. And neither should you." She looks at me with a serious look before smiling. "Come on, I need a new board."

I follow her up her driveway and wait for her as she gets some money from her grandma. When she runs out the front door, I see that she's also decided to bring Bo. He waddles along happily, and leash free, as always.

We walk along the sidewalk, Bo at Andie's side. "Isn't it weird how kids grow up to be jerks sometimes?" I look at her with confusion.

"What?"

"We've known Harry and Mac for years and Mac, well he's always been an asshole, but Harry... I remember him being a good kid." I shrug.

"A lot has happened since seventh grade Andie. Things happen to people, and it's not like he's the type of person to share a lot. At least... He didn't used to be."

"True. True." Andie nods and we continue on our way through the woods to the mall. The transportation shop is the first one upon entering the outlet mall. It sells bikes, scooters, skateboards, basically everything that isn't a car and or boat and or plane. Plus it's pretty cheap.

Andie walks up to the glass door and groans. "You have got to be kidding me."

"What?" Andie gestures to the door and I take a peek. In the back of the one room store, fixing a ten speed bicycle, is Harry Styles.
