I was so mentally tired from the fight Isaac and I had last night, I got numerous texts and missed calls from him but I chose not to answer. I needed a little break from his controlling behavior. I got changed and headed to work.
Upon arrival none other than the devil himself Carlo James, Isaac's father was waiting outside my building with his army of bodyguards he carries everywhere.
"Good morning Love mind if we have a word?" He asked with his intimidating smile. I nervously lead him to my office as we were followed behind by eight off his men. I was embarrassed that my workers had to whiteness this. he walked and sat on my chair like he's some sort of king.
"So Love I'm here on behalf of my son Isaac." "he came home a bit upset last night and shot one of my best body guards for absolutely no reason."
"I don't know what is the issue between you guys but I suggest that you work it out." "I can't have my son making stupid decision like that because you and him had a fight." "He needs to be focused on his job." "So I'm offering you a deal." "Fix whatever is wrong with you and my son and I will give you whatever money you desire. Starting with this." Carlo said snapping his fingers as one off his guy's trough a bag full off money on my desk. I looked down at the money taking a deep breath looking back at him.
"I'm sorry Jon but the problem between Isaac and I is you" I said looking at him.
"You dictate Isaac's entire life." "controlling his every move, you scare him." "He thinks you will kill him or me if he doesn't do as you say." "If you want the problem solved then be a better father to you son," "give him his freedom to do what he loves which is managing the football club." "And that money of yours you can stick it up your mafia ass," "Goodbye Carlo." I said throwing back his money at him.
Carlo who was speechless off my response left right away. I had to admit I was so scared, he could of killed me at any moment if he wanted to, but he needed to hear that. His body guards were amused by the way I spoke to him, they knew if it was someone else they would of been dead. I actually caught one of them smiling in amusement.

Love's POV
I got home late after a long day of work. Isaac called the entire day but I didn't answer. I needed more time for myself I needed to think.
I took a shower and made some soup I wasn't all that hungry. I took the soup and sat in my balcony. my neighbors door was opened once again, the lights was on but no one was there. I was about to put a spoon of soup in my mouth when suddenly the electricity went off in the entire city, "Perfect" I whispered placing my food on the table. I decided to stay in my balcony because the moonlight was a bit bright. And I'm kind off scared off the dark a bit.
"Is everything okay?" a voice said scaring the hell out of me. Making me scream.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you," A male voice said laughing. I followed the sound of the voice realizing It was my neighbor who I could barely see due to the darkness.
"Im ok" I said to him,
"nice to finally meet you Batman." I said making him chuckle.
"nice to meet you to" "Does Electricity often get cut off in Paris?" He asked with curiosity in his voice.
"No I have been living here for two years and this never happened before ." "Its really strange actually" "And you know what is also strange?" "These new houses has no back up generator." "Thank goodness for the moonlight." "So your new here?" I asked him.
He hesitated I little before answering, "yes I moved here a week ago," "l got a new job." He said.
"So Love do you live alone?" He asked.
"How do you know my name?" I asked a bit freaked out.
"My son David told me, he said you guys met yesterday."
"Oh yes he is such a sweet boy, where is he?" I asked a bit relieved.
"He left this morning with my parents, he'll be back next month," "co parenting reasons."
"Yeah he told me you and his mom are great friends." I said.
"You guys talked a lot, what else did he say?" My neighbor asked sounding a little curious. Making laugh of how worried he was that his son was revealing his private business to me.
"no that's all" I said trying my best to see his face but it was to dark. I could definitely see his physic though, he was more in the slim side but muscular. His hair looks curly and he was wearing earrings it was shining in the moonlight. And he had and accent his voice was calm an soothing. I was about to ask him his name when I heard a car pulling up in my driveway. I couldn't see from where i was standing. I was about to ask my him if he can see anything from his side. When he suddenly shouted that there is men in black suit with guns in my driveway. I knew instantly it was Carlo guys he probably sent them to scare me after what happened today.
"Love who are they?" "Are they here for you?" My neighbor asked nervously.
I told him to go inside lock his door and don't come out. But instead he took a chair making some sort of bridge for me to cross.
"Come over to me" he said holding the chair.
"no I can't," "you don't know these people they are dangerous they will kill you if you help me." I said nervously.
Without hesitation he jumped over to my side. pulling me across the bridge he made to his balcony. He then pulled me towards his bedroom closing door silently behind us.
He picked up his phone to call the police but i stopped him.
"Why do these people want to kill you?" "Are you a criminal?" he asked flashing the phone light on my face.
"Take that light off , they will see us" I said grabbing the phone from him. Now i am totally blinded thanks to him flashing the light on my face.
"I'm not a criminal, that's my boyfriend well ex boyfriends father bodyguards" "he's in the Mafia, I made him angry today." "He wanted me to get back together with his son and I told him to fuck off," "embarrassing him In front of his men." "And now he is going to kill me and he will probably kill you too for helping me." "We can't call the police they own the police." "The police is scared off them." "I'm sorry for getting you tied up in this." I said to him panicking.
"Calm down Love, you are going to be ok." He said guiding me to his bed to sit, I watched as he walked to the window looking outside, "One off them is on the phone," I think they are leaving." He said to me.
I careful walked over to the window, he room was pitched black. watching as they got into their cars driving off. I turned to my neighbor who I still couldn't see that well because of the darkness.
"Thanks for trying to protect me tonight," "I am truly great full" "but I better get back home" I said when suddenly the electricity came back.
