I'll always be his Bonnie and he'll always be my Clyde.

"You sure this is a good idea?", the girl asked and with a subtle hand gesture, her maid silently exited the room leaving them alone in the opulent living space . The room was adorned with expensive paintings, each a testament to wealth and taste, and the few but exquisite pieces of furniture were strategically placed, offering elegance but little warmth. It was a house designed to impress, not to feel like home. Nothing could make it feel like home.

Julie lay on the plush sofa, enjoying the skilled hands of a masseuse, when her boyfriend burst in, eyes alight with excitement over a new idea.

"I'm sure, Jules," , Luke insisted, his voice brimming with conviction. "It's going to be so good. We will finally get the recognition we deserve. I promise you, I'll make you proud.", his hands moved animatedly, like a child who had finally gotten the toy they'd been longing for.

The thrill in Luke's eyes was the same one as that child's. He could already feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins, urging him toward actions that most would consider reckless. This was the life he thrived on—one of high stakes and even higher rewards.

Instead of pointing out the insanity of his plan, Julie sprang from the couch with a grin spreading across her face. She approached him with a softness, careful not to dim his excitement. Placing her palms against the warmth of his cheeks, she looked into his eyes.

"I'll always be proud of you, Patterson.", his smile got even wider as he lifted her into his arms, spinning her around. She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck.

From a distance, they looked like any other couple sharing a tender moment. Picture-perfect in their apparent innocence.

Adorable, right?

Now, if you really knew the truth, you'd have noticed the small, almost invisible smirks, drawn on their faces.

Julie and Luke.

Luke and Julie.

Maybe the new Bonnie and Clyde.
