"It's all your fault, Yozora."
"Why didn't you save us?"
"I hope you suffer every passing minute."
Yozora fluttered her eyes open. It was the same dream again, a recurring one every single night. By now she had long gotten used to it, but it didn't mean that the guilt in her heart eased any lesser.
She had fallen asleep on the floor again, for the fourth time that month. Her silver hair and the long kimono sleeves were sprawled around her like a piece of artwork.
Her heterochromatic eyes held no emotions. She glanced towards the alarm clock on the bedside table, which read five in the morning. She slowly got up from her slumber, elegance in her steps preventing her from tripping over the kimono.
She slid open the shoji (divider used in traditional Japanese houses), feeling the cold dawn air against her bare face. She sat down on the wooden hallway facing outdoors and lit up a cigarette. She rested her head on one of the wooden pillars, contemplating the meaning of life.
She was in deep thoughts, inhaling and exhaling clouds of smoke when a few servants greeted her.
"Good morning, Yozora-sama. Are you having difficulties with sleep again?" One of the servants concerned. Yozora did not spare them a glance, but answered them respectfully.
"It's nothing, really. Thank you for caring."
After a short conversation, the servants parted way with the silver haired girl and went back to their duties. She was about to light up a second stick of cigarette when a familiar voice interrupted her actions.
"Isn't it too early to get emotional?"
Yozora sighed as silent as possible, not wanting to let her annoyance be evident.
"What do you want, Itsuki?"
Yozora had companion, a white haired boy with a pair of gleaming golden eyes that seemed sly, joined her on the hallway.
"I have good news and bad news, which one do you want to hear first?" The boy, Itsuki, asked excitedly.
"I really don't give a shit which comes first, I'll be hearing both news in the end, am I wrong to assume that?" Yozora stared into space as she waited for what Itsuki was about to say.
"Harsh. But oh well, let me give you the good news first! It is, that I have finally drew out a plan on how to escape this place."
Yozora was getting interested in the topic, and she gazed at the boy from the side of her eyes, signaling him to continue.
