Nadine put her hair behind her left ear, as she was telling Alex about Vivian.

"At the end, she was a nice girl, who made my life, let's say... a little more interesting."
"What do you mean by saying that?" Alex chuckled, while he couldn't get his eyes of her face.

"The change she's made in my personality wasn't the best for me, but at the same time I regret no seconds, minutes or hours spent with Viv." Nadine's eyelashes began to get watery as she voiced these words.

Alex was so fascinated about her, which was very weird of him. It definitely wasn't anything close to a romantic feeling, even though his pupils would go bigger every time Nadine looked at him with the shiny eyes of hers.

Her fragrant perfume dancing in his nostrils, not letting him get enough of her voice and appearance.

"And what about you?" she suddenly asked, observing Alex's moves.

She knew her mind was going crazy about this man. He saved her from that night's frightening clutches. Her drunk mind trying to not embarrass herself in front of his magical aura, as much as she could.

"You had hardly said anything" She was right. Alex knew he was usually more open about his life while being drunk than sober. He just couldn't help it.

They've been sitting on some cold concrete for around an hour. Nadine was able to feel frigidness taking over every inch of her body, but she didn't plan to stand up. Not even to mention leaving Alex's side and going back to her apartment.

"What do you want to know, love?" he finally answered. "Feel free to ask me anything"

Nadine's gently bitten her lips, as she inquired him; "Do you have somebody?" her vision carefully pierced him.

Alex's eyes immediately widen after hearing her question. His mind was struggling for a few seconds, whatever to lie or just be honest.

"Well, yeah. I do." he unsurely mumbled these words, while turning his head to Nad.

Nadine started to regret asking him that. That unknown feeling hit her body for a brief moment. It was nothing like jealousy. She'd like to call it amazement, which seemed more polite.

"How is she like?" she continued "Does she know that you're here, with me? I don't want to interrupt your relationship or anything and I genuinely mean that..."

"Wait what?" Alex let out an innocent chuckle. "I'm one hundred percent sure she would be fine with me just sitting here with you, don't worry."

Nadine felt a little embarrassed about her response. Being high never helped her with making new friends or showing off her real personality.

Alex noticed that she suddenly went quiet. The only noise he could hear was the music playing from the house, they were sitting in front of. He's instantly regretted his reaction.

"Hey, I'm so sorry for making you feel bad about that response" he stood up.

"No, you did nothing wrong, Alex." Nadine said, as she got up from the grey bricks extremely fast. "I'm just a bit dragged out."

All of sudden, she was able to see many black spots filling her vision. Everything went darker than it was a second ago, which made it impossible to stand still.

Nadine tried to balance on her legs, that were unbelievably weak at that moment. She failed incapably.

Alex's reacted as fast as a speed of light. He kept her up, by holding the cold arms of hers. His reflex didn't disappoint him this time.

"You don't look well, love" Alex voiced these words with a worried tone. "I think you should come back home for your own good"

He knew Nadine was a good person deep inside. He wished that he had to get to already know her from that better, sober side.
