I wrote this short story for my English class after we just finished reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald- which was, by the way, fantastic.
The project was to create something like a poem, essay, piece of art, short story, etc. that included themes from The Great Gatsby.
I chose to write a short story using the two "Fitzgerald inspired" themes; money can't buy you actual happiness and that someone's economic success can cause someone else's failure.
I thought that if Gatsby is rich and unhappy, then why not create a character whose poor and happy? So that's what I did, however there is a little bit more to it.
Now that I've finished it, I thought I might as well share it with people.
So without further ado, I give you "Bitterness" by myself.
