Fleeing Love

I once met a boy
That had lost a lover
And he said to me:
"My significant other
Used to smile like the stars in night-sky.

She was the fairest,
She was my dearest,
And she was my whole world,
But she's dead now, she's dead
And I'm now alone.

But even if I'm alone,
I have friends,
I have family,
And they keep me grounded,
When I feel like floating away.

Floating away on the breeze,
Like the bees,
In the summer sky.

Floating away in the wind
Like a kite,
That wasn't held tight.

And though I felt like floating,
Now I feel like flowing,
Or soaring.

It depends on the day,
And I'm still not okay."
I think about him every day.
