Chapter 11
"After I gave birth to my baby Magnus, I'd take you to the Philippines, Gab!" a smile left my lips when G blurted that out excitedly.
I nodded, "is there a lot of beautiful places there, G?"
"Yeah, you bet!" she giggled, "there are a lot of beaches, not just that! I also have a favorite place in there, one of my favorites. It's called the Lost Island!"
"Oh..." I nodded, "is that where you got married, right? The island with a shipwreck and cliff?"
"Yep," she nodded, "I swear, Gab. You'll like it more if you explore it! There are a lot of magical things to see, there is a tale pa na you'd like to hear and it's crazy and weird to say but Luci and I think the tale's our story."
"Tale?" I tilted my head to see her, "can I know what is it, G? You know naman na I attended your wedding but I was in full security and was there briefly lang kasi there are threats, rights? I'm so lungkot too because I haven't even eaten a food or two from your reception. I only waited for I do and they made me go na." I mumbled sadly.
"Yeah," G sighed sadly, too. "They're super OA, right? You're safe naman, eh, but I understand din because you know what happened to me. They're just making sure our Queen won't get hurt too." She brushed my hair gently.
"So, tell me, G." My eyes brightened. "About the tale you're saying, I haven't heard it but I know you once mentioned about it. The pirate and the princess. It's interesting!"
G's smile widened. It was as if I asked her to say her favorite word that she fixed her hair and sighed heavenly before telling me the tale about the island.
It was all about a princess who left their palace after refusing to marry a prince. She believed in love, in writing her own journey so she wandered. The palace guards found out she's missing and she was almost caught. However, she got away by sneaking in a ship—which unfortunately is a pirate ship. A well-know thief for wealthy merchants.
The pirates saw her, she was terrified with the thought of being killed by their hands but when the captain pirate saw her, he fell in love almost immediately. They didn't kill her, instead, she sailed with them throughout their journey that she found family with the pirates and love with the captain.
The palace found out about the lost princess in the pirate's ship. They referred to it as hostage that they posted a bail for the pirates' heads. The princess didn't want to go back too. She wanted to stay to her newly found family and friends, that's where she found herself and in the process of protecting the princess, the ship was attacked by the palace guards.
They got bombs, guns, grand canyons while the pirates only had swords to fight them but it didn't stop them from protecting the princess. Just as the ship got damaged, it got stuck on the side of an unknown and secluded island.
The pirates fought with them. Guns versus swords. The pirates were aware they are no match with the blazing guns but they fought too hard, just to protect their princess. The pirates died.
"O-Oh my..." I covered my mouth, my eyes started swelling. "E-Everyone d-died?!"
G sighed, touching her stomach.
"The pirate, Lucian, remained standing even if he's suffering from numerous gun wounds and stabs. He thought it was the end but as he locked gaze with the princess, Guinevere, and muttered the words I-I love you..." she sniffed too and I saw her eyes swelling too. "The asshole bwisit ang sarap i-stab na palace guard shot h-him too, and it pierced his h-heart."
"O-Oh..." I covered my mouth more, trying to suppress myself from sobbing. I don't want G to cry too, because I did. "T-The pirate's named Lucian and the princess is Guinevere? L-Like you two?"
