CHAPTER SIX
VISION

theo raeken and valencia stilinski walked into school together, valencia had been staying at the boys house for a couple nights. she still hadn't talked to stiles who had reached out multiple times, calling, texting. but there was no reply from valencia.

"so while introducing the african cane toad, sounded like a good way to deal with australia's infestation of the gray-backed beetle., unfortunately the road also decided to eat everything else in sight."

valencia looked over to lydia who had her phone out, texting someone. valencia's eyes gazed over the name theo, before she turned to see the boy not far away texting her back.

"and everything that tried to eat the toad, from crocodiles to household pets, quickly died from the poison they secreted." valencia zoned back into what the teacher was saying. valencia found herself interested in this subject. "a perfect example of invasive species. one hundred and two roads introduced in 1935, became 1,5 billion by 2010."

there was a pause where the teacher stopped to view her students, finally looking up from the book she'd previously been reading from.

"once an invasive species is introduced, everything changes." valencia listened closely, fascinated by the story. by the look lydia had given her, she knew lydia was thinking the same thing as her.

chimera?

suddenly the girl infront of valencia and lydia shot up from her desk, collecting all her bits and pieces from the table. her name was sydney, sydney quickly walked to the teachers desk, placing down a sheet. valencia guessed that it was a drop form for the class.

"wise decision, sydney." the teacher informed the young girl who sent her fake smile and left the classroom in a hurry. valencia watched with a confused expression as lydia got up from their desk, grabbing her things.

lydia began to speed walk to the front of the class, headed straight for the door of the classroom.

"lydia, you know it's for the best." the teacher told her.  lydia nodded her before continuing on and out of the classroom. valencia tilted her head, sending both kira and scott and very confused look.

valencia knew that lydia would never drop AP biology. why had she just ran out of the room like that without saying anything to the teacher or her friends?

"lydia, are you okay?" valencia lifted her hand up and lightly brushed her hand through the redheads hair. valencia held a concerned look on her face for her bestfriend who sat on the floor, leaning again the wall.

lydia's hand shook like crazy so valencia reached down and took it in hers. lydia gasped at the contact and valencia's eyes widened, flashing a bright orange colour.

everything went black, valencia spun around in shock, seeing nothing but pure darkness. suddenly she began to fall, valencia let out screams as the ground caved in beneath her.

the girl dropped onto her back, feeling a pain shoot up her spine. she groaned and let out heavy breaths. she was no longer surrounded by darkness but instead she was in a lab.

"what the fuck."

valencia went to sit up but quickly realised when she was pulled back down that she was strapped to a metal table. valencia let out a grunt when she hit her head of the table.

she could hear bubbles fizzling and she turned her head to the side, seeing test tubes filled with green liquid. valencia raised her eyebrow confused, then a smell set in.
