The daycare was severely understaffed as Tubbo was at home taking care of a sick Michael, and Tommy and Drista had important things to do as Tommy's mom was sick and Patches had to go to the vet. The only workers there were Matt, Hinami, Ranboo, and Jack. Soon as Ranboo walked in Jack looked at him and started checking the 18 year old for snacks. Ranboo always kept a snack or two in his green apron along with some bandaids and cough drops.
"Yes!" Jack said as he had a bag of sun chips in his arms. It was two small bags. Ranboo chuckled at how childish the older male acted. The kids were currently getting ready for a nap. Hinami and Ranboo usually stayed up in case the kids woke up from a nightmare or had to go to the bathroom. Sunrise looked at Jack and nodded going to the platform he usually stands on to let Moon know he can start patrolling the area.
Vinnie and Blank used the Naptime to get some recharge, Matt just played Cookie run on his phone, Jack was actually doing work, and Hinami and Ranboo were tucking the kids in. However one particular bratty kid tried to pull Ranboo's glasses and mask off. "Kid stop." Ranboo said quietly pushing the kid's arm away trying not to wake up the other sleeping children. "No! It's not fair!" The kid said trying to pull his mask off again. Ranboo grabbed the kid's wrists to keep from pulling it off. The kid started screaming at the top of his lungs and kicking around at one point kicking Ranboo in his knee. This got Moon and Jack's attention as Hinami was on her lunch break.
Jack got out from behind the counter as the kid managed to push Ranboo over and was sitting on his chest trying to punch him but Ranboo was blocking it with his arms. He couldn't just push the kid off as that would allow the kid to hurt him more. Jack grabbed the phone per procedure. The procedure was if a kid started to attack any of the workers or animatronics to call the entrance desk and they'll alert the parents.
Moon grabbed the kid holding him under arm glaring at the kid as Ranboo was on the floor against the desk. "Don't put your hands on the workers." Moon said. Blank and Vinnie took over trying to get the other kids to calm down. For really young children, to see a 8 year old beating the shit out of their favourite worker, it was terrifying. The kid tried to bite Moondrop. "Let me go you fucking nigger!" The kid shouted. Moondrop dropped the kid on floor. "Oh my god, Moon!" Matt said surprised Moondrop would do that. "Don't ever use that word in my daycare again." Moondrop said to the kid.
Jack told Moon that the mother was on her way to pick her kid up. Moondrop tied the kid to a chair while Jack with a flashlight checking for bruises on Ranboo. Ranboo initially started working when he was 17 but had recently turned 18 so he was the third youngest as Toby was the older of the 4 teens and Drista was the youngest as she was 16. Matt chucked the disinfectant spray to Jack who started bandaging the bruises. The door of the daycare opened as a Karen walked into the area. "So. I heard my son was attacking a worker." She said chewing gum.
"Yes he was." Jack said as Ranboo flinched from the spray. "As a safety precaution we restrained him so he wouldn't hurt any of the kids." Moondrop said. Blank and Vinnie had gotten the kids to calm down and go back to sleep. "I take it the masked kid was the one my son attacked." The Karen said. "Yeah..." Ranboo mumbled. "Eugene why did you attack the worker?" The Karen said in a faked innocent voice. "I wanted to play with him but he started hitting me." The boy now identified as Eugene lied. Ranboo was going to defend himself but Moondrop shook his head which confused Jack and Ranboo.
"That's awfully funny, kid given you repeatedly tried to pull his glasses and mask off to which he tried to get you to stop multiple times, you then started screaming which woke up the other children, proceeded to kick Ranboo, started punching him, and called me a racial slur." Moondrop chuckled leaning against the wall. "Now my son wouldn't do that." The Karen said. "Then explain to me how the poor kid got a bunch of bruises and a sprained wrist?" Jack growled. "Obviously my little Eugene played a bit too rough but for this porch monkey to lie about my son, he's obviously a racist. And for a teenager to get his ass beat by a 8 year old you sure are weak." The Karen said as Moondrop's eye twitched. Moondrop was a POC belonging to the black community. He can only tolerate so much "Get out." Ranboo said having enough of the Karen's bullshit. "Huh?" The Karen said as she finished untying her son. "Get out and don't come back until you learn some fucking manners!" Ranboo snapped.
Jack and Moondrop were taken back by Ranboo's tone. The Karen ran out the daycare with her son. "Holy shit kid." Jack said. Ranboo fumbled with his hands and words. "I'm sorry... I didn't... I didn't mean to yell..." Ranboo said. Moondrop hugged Ranboo. Ranboo being 6'07 was taller than Moon who was 5'10. "You did good kid. I'm proud of you." Moondrop said ruffling Ranboo's already messy hair. "Although you swear in my daycare again I'm putting your ass in the ground." Moon joked. Hinami came back from her lunch break confused. "Sa hell?" She asked confused.
"Oh my god you missed it." Jack said. "Some Karen was being racist to Moon and Ranboo told her off. I've never seen him get that mad at a Karen." Hinami patted Ranboo's head how a mother would with her child when they get good grades. Ranboo shook a bit. "I think I'm gonna cry..." He said.
