Semishira - Last Winter Leaf - DROPPED

Chapter 2

*Semi's POV*

I kick back onto my sofa when I finally arrive home. I go to my kitchen to get myself a cup of water. I slam the cup down and turn to my phone. It was ringing, even though it was far from me I could see the name on the small screen.

I jog to it and pick it up,

"Hello?" I say as I answer the phone.

'Hello, Semi-san. I just called to say that I got everyone back home safely. Of course not Tendou, he lived there. Anyway, bye!'

"Wait no! Wanna get coffee tomorrow? Catch up and stuff? Are you free?" I quickly yell.

'Oh, yeah! Sure. Around 5 pm?'

"Yep," I say just as he disconnects.

I put the phone down and make my way to my calendar to note the coffee meet-up down. I groan and slowly walk sluggishly towards my room, I open the closet and threw the first pair of clothes I saw on and just plopped onto my bed and immediately pass out.

I wake up to my alarm ringing in my face. I started to vigorously tap at my blurry screen with the hope of stopping the alarm. I finally stop the alarm and wake up as slow as a sloth.

The consequences quickly came to me, the hangover, the blurriness, the headache. I was rubbing my head when I had just dubbed into my coat hanger. "Ugh." I groan. I get my breakfast and head to my university campus.

I had 2 classes in the morning before lunch and after lunch was a band gig downtown in a popular café. I am finally free from school and I head to get my lunch, which was from a classmate of mine. After eating my lunch I head to where the café was and play with my small band.

I finish perfectly as usual and then I head towards where Shirabu said he wanted to meet up. When I arrive it seems I'm the first one there. I sit down on a bench nearby and go onto my phone for a bit. I go to my messages app and start to text Shirabu.

HEY

You-

What do you need?

Shirabu-

I'm already here.

OHH

I am so sorry!!

I thought you hadn't arrived there yet!

IT'S ALR I'LL BE THERE IN 3 TO 5 MINUTES!

You-

Ok.

I smile as I send the last message. I quickly put my smile away as well as my phone. I look up to see this couple with a cute kid. I grin at the child then look up at the couple, I see that both were male. They were giggling at each other and then looked at me.

I stare at them while they stare back at me for a while before someone yelling my name disturbed me. "SEMI-SAN!!!", I turn around and I see Shirabu running at full speed towards me.

He jumps into my arms and hugs me, "I AM SO SORRY THAT I AM LATE!" he says while huffing, trying to catch his breath. "It's alright." I look back to the couple and I see them grinning and I send them a sad smile and slowly nod a small 'no'.

One of them starts to pout while the other starts to run after their kid who was now heading towards a dirty, toy-filled sandbox. I chuckle and turn back to Shirabu who has now finally caught his breath. "Ok," he huffs quite loudly before continuing, "Where do you wanna go?" he asked.

"Your decision," I say. "Uh, how 'bout we go to that café over there. Shirabu says, pointing to a small shop on the corner of the block across the street. We slowly cross the street and just before we enter the café I quickly glance at the title before entering and I realize what this café was.

I tug Shirabu out before he entered to save him from the monster inside. "Huh? Why'd you do that?" Shirabu asked me, "It's better if w-wI should go w-we g-go o-to another one." I said fumbling with my words. "What's so bad about it?" Shirabu says tugging me inside but just as we enter I see Shirabus face turn sour, into a rage.

I see him looking towards the counter and I divert my eyes to where he was looking and then I saw him. The one redhead that we knew and didn't wanna see today. Tendou-san was standing at the counter with his mouth open in awe.

He stares at us before quickly jogging to us, "What are you guys doing here?? Together????", "Tendou-san we're just meeting up to catch up and stuff right?" Shirabu explains looking at me, I nod aggressively while staring into Tendou's demonic eyes. I knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Oh well, nothing wrong with catching up with a few old friends, I guess," Tendou says raising his eyebrows. I facepalm and follow after Shirabu, who was now grumbling and mumbling something, to find a table.

"I'll go order us some things, what do you want?" Shirabu asks me. "No, it's alright, I'll buy," I say. "Wait, no-" "tut tut tut tut!" I quickly say cutting him off. We fight for a bit over was paying before it ended up with me paying.

We sneak out of the café after paying before Tendou was on break and could talk to us. We go back to the park where we met up. I see the same couple from before and it looked like they were going around asking everybody something. Everyone seemed to say no.

I see them come near me and Shirabu. "Hello sir, I am so sorry to ask this but have you seen our daughter," the couple said, holding their phone out to the two, a photo of a young girl who looked about 6 years old with brown short hair with a bright smile was shown to us.

"I am sorry, we haven't..." I say. The couple looks disappointed before walking away. "Wait!" I yell, the couple turns around. "We can help you look for her though if that helps," I say. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" The couple shakes our hands and we plan where we should scout to search for the young girl, whose name was 'Bella'.

1 finish scouting my area and I meet up with the parents again. "Have you found her?" the couple asks me. I sadly shake my head. They groan. We wait for Shirabu who seemed to be late. I start to worry, has something happened to Shirabu? What if he's lost? I start to pace.

*Shirabu's POV*

I walk through the neighborhood yelling "BELLA!". I hear a small 'Eeeek' from the corner. I jog to the corner and I see the girl from the photo. Shivering in the cold. I give her my jacket. I realize it's so cold. She seems scared. "What happened?" I ask.

"Someone, t-tri-tried t-to hu-hurt me." Bella said, "It is ok, I will take you back to your parents now ok?" I say re-assuring her. I see her expression calm down. My jacket was big on her and it dragged so I carry her.

I walk into the park and I see Semi-san and Bella's parents. The couple runs towards me and I give Bella to them. I shiver from the sudden separation of the shared body heat in between me and Bella.

I tell the couple they could keep my jacket for the young girl. I bring my hands up to my shoulders as I was so cold. Semi runs to me with a worried look. He shoves his jacket towards me and tells me to wear it. I turn to the couple and I see them grin. I smile sadly and shake my head. One pouts as the other wraps Bella in their arms.

"Thank you," I say to Semi as I smile. Semi walks with me towards my bus stop. "I had a fun time today," Semi says. I chuckle. "Me too.". I lock eyes with Semi for a few seconds.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." I quickly said, I hop onto my bus. And as soon as I get home I scream into my pillow as I blush.
