Life's Story

I live my life in stories.
But what if it is a story I live?
Story where in the end it all is okay.
Story where I live another day,
And get to see friends once more.

Stories always have death and sorrow though.
What is a story without conflict?
Someone must die along the way.
Someone must cry for a friend one day,
And loose a good deal much in the end.

The characters always wonder.
What would happen if...?
If they had decided to stay.
If they had decided to not go away,
And let friends or strangers do the deed.

They often reflect on the life they lived.
Why had their friends died and they lived?
It is unknown. Fate is cruel and kind.
When does the road end?
Never. We must all travel until death and then it is just another journey.
Why does death hurt more to those who lost the friend,
Then it hurts the friend lost?
Because we must go on.

Stories always have death and sorrow.
What is a story without life lessons?
Someone change along the way.
Someone must realize it one day,
And become a stronger person in the end.
