New Futures

Tonks opend her window and called her pet owl. She had a letter to send. A very important letter. She, ever so long ago, had told her parents she wanted to be a healer. Yeah. . . No. She wants to be an Auror but never knew how to tell her parents. She wrote the letter applying for Auror training and wasn't looking back. Her pet owl, Mia, Flew to the window and gave a small hoot. She read the letter one last time to make she it was done right.

Dear head Auror, Rufus Scrimgeour.

Wotcher! I am writing this letter to you to apply to join Auror training. I've included a letter of both my, O.W.L scores and my N.W.E.T scores, I have also included a letter from my head of house. The reason I want to be an Auror is because of my family, I came from a very dark family with cousin Sirius Black and aunt and uncle Ropolphus and Bellatrix Lastrange. I want to work to make a better world without people like that in the world. I understand, yes, I am a girl but I don't think that should stop me from achieving anything and everything a male Auror could accomplish. I do hope you accept me into the program and I would be most grateful, sir.

"Looks right, Mia, yeah?" She asked the owl, she gave a small hoot. "Thanks for the feedback. This letter goes to the Ministry of Magic, okay?" She asked tieing the letter to her leg. The owl hooted again and flew out the window.

"Well, I did it. Wow. How the hell will I tell mum and dad. . . ." She said to herself.

"Nymphadora, Tea!" Her mother yelled upstairs.

"Comeing mum!" She yelled back. "Better late than never" she sighed tucking a copy of her N.W.E.Ts into her pocket. She opened the door and headed down the stairs.

"Thank you, mum." Tonks said sitting down and taking a cup of tea from her mother. Her mother and father where sitting on one couch while tonks sat on the other.

"There is something I have to tell you guys." She said, she could see their worried expressions. She pulled the letter out of her cloak pocket.

"Its my N.W.E.T test scores. I got them back last week." She explained.

"Last week?" Ted asked "why didn't you tell us, Dora?"

"I. . . Erm. . Was waiting." She hated to lie but she didn't want to just tell them 'hey I just applied for the most dangerous job in our world!'

"Do you want to see them?" She asked

"Of corse we do Nymphadora!" Her mother said. She handed the letter to them

Nymphadora is a very bright student, when she came to me during career advice in her fith year I was surprised she wants to become an Auror! She certainly has the skills to do so, she has even taken three classes that where not required for N.W.E.T Auror and got an N.W.E.T in each one! She is a very hard worker and an incredible duelist if I do say so myself! She also has high talent on a broom as I have seen her on the pitch. If she would still like to become an Auror she had the ability to do so and I highly encourage her! I will miss her as a students and I wish her the best that holds in her future!
