They were different. His pale blonde hair and her dirty blonde. Her blue eyes to his gray. His silver and green tie to her bronze and blue.
She knew when he took the Mark. Underestimated, overlooked, she saw things. She knew.
She found him near the edge of the Forbidden Forest one night. Crying.
"It'll be alright," she told him calmly.
He jerked his head up at the sound of her voice. "How can it?" He choked out.
"It'll be okay," she told him again, kneeling near where he sat, approaching slowly as if he was a wild animal.
"Even this?"
She nodded, brushing her fingers at the edge of his left cuff. He jerked away from her touch.
"Even this," she told him.
She held him as tears ran down his face.
"I don't want it," he whispered.
"Don't let it define you," she told him. "You are not this."
"I can choose?" he asked desperately.
"You can always choose," she said gently, but matter-of-factly.
And when his tears ran out, and they parted as the sun set, he looked back one more time at the girl. She smiled serenely, comfortingly, and as he left, she thought she could see a bit of relief in his gray eyes.
Luna smiled.

A/N: I hope you enjoy this! I didn't imagine this to be a romantic pairing, but Luna always seemed like the type of person who would comfort her worst enemy.
This chapter is dedicated to @rosesarerad. I know you requested something about Luna ages ago, and I hope I haven't disappointed you too badly.
I'd love ideas and requests, if anyone has any. I'll do my best to do my best for requests. :)
Hope you enjoy!
