Song: Mount Everest By: Labrinth
----
You're in a crowd. A large crowd. We're talking like at least a thousand people. Yet you feel one stare. Not just any stare, an alluring stare. So alluring out of all the billions of eyes in the crowd you meet a very beautiful pair of hazel green eyes. They pierce into your soul intensely and you know right then and there that you're theirs.
I wake up with a gasp, the sheets sticking to my sweat covered body. That is the third time in a row I've had that dream. What does that mean? Who are they? What was up with that scary intense feeling? I shake my head and get out of bed, my eyes glance over at the alarm clock on the nightstand. The red numbers read 5:30 a.m. and I groan. Really? Two hours before I have to get up for work?!!
Sighing I head to the bathroom to shower. I turn on the shower head and set the water before I strip and use the toilet. I rub the little crusties out of my eyes and let out a yawn. My eyes close for a minute and those green eyes are staring back at me. With a gasp I quickly open my eyes and do a wild look around the bathroom. I then roll my eyes and chuckle at myself. I must be more paranoid from that dream than I thought. Wanting to wash away as much of the dream as I can, I quickly wipe and flush the toilet, stripping soon after.
I let out a sigh once the hot water touches my skin. Nothing to get your mind off disturbing eyeballs then some good old fashioned hot water and good smelling body wash. My mind wanders and before I know it I'm humming and then that humming turns into full blown singing. Before I know it, I'm giving a full performance for the multiple bottles of shampoo and body wash.
"You're all lucky that it was free of charge." I tell them when I finish. Doing a little bow as if they were actually listening to me and giving me a round of applause.
"Is that an encore I hear?" I ask. "Alright, who am I to deny the people what- excuse me I mean bottles what they want."
After the third song I decided I was done and got out and dried off. Once I'm finally dressed and see that I still have a lot of time left I decide to attempt to make myself some breakfast. I know, twenty years old and I can barely cook. Go ahead and shake your heads, I can feel the disappointment. Now that we got that out of the way, let me tell you something alright. I'm a music writer. You heard me, a music writer. So excuse me if I don't have time to eat breakfast. Thinking it has to do with the fact that I can barely cook, pfft as if.
"Shit, how does one make pancakes again?" I murmur to myself. I pick up my phone and am about to look it up when it begins to ring.
"It's Misty. How may I be of service to you?" I ask.
"Misty, oh thank all the pretzels in the world that you're awake!" My boss Fredrick paises.
"Why pretzel-"
"That's unimportant right now. How fast can you make it to work?"
"I mean ten minutes if I speed fast enough. But-"
"Great, I need you up here ASAP!"
"May I ask why?"
"They're here. Mr. Ray and his music writer Jessi, they're here," he whispers.
"Why are we whispering?" I ask.
"Because I'm currently hiding behind the main desk while they wait in the lobby." That's when what he said hit in.
"Wait what?!! They're here already?!! They weren't supposed to be here for another two days!" I cry out and rush around my apartment getting what I need and trying to rush out the door.
"Glad that it's now all clicking in that head of yours." Frederick sighs.
"Sir, I don't even have the whole song ready. Jessi and I are supposed to collaborate and I- my part it's not final. All I have is a draft." I almost sob as I close the door to my car and start it up, not hesitating to hit the gas.
"That will have to do. Just please make it here." He says and I nod then slap my forehead when I realize he can't see me.
"On my way."
