Asjsksjsksjsksjksjks That's allSong: Won't Sleep By: Tones and I
----
I'm in a snow covered forest. I look at the large snow covered trees that surround me in amazement. I'm in this wide space alone, yet I don't feel scared. I'm expecting... something, I don't know what. This doesn't puzzle me though. What puzzles me, is that the mysterious being who did lead me here is no where to be seen. It's as if... they've disappeared. snow falls from the sky and I smile as I catch them on my tongue and eyelashes. As stereotypical as it sounds, I twirl around, a laugh escaping me.
A free feeling seems to overcome the feeling of puzzlement I had earlier. All is short lived when I hear steps barreling through the snow. Quickly I turn, my gasp creating a little white cloud due to the cold weather. For a moment the creature and I seem to be distracted by it. I looked at the giant white creature and its yellow eyes as it stared into mine.
My eyes leave it for a second, searching for a figure that brought me here. I look back and there are other wolves behind the one who interrupted my blissful moment seconds ago. They all are now looking into my eyes and I knew I had to run. The white wolf growls at me, as if it was warning me not to think about it. I refused to heed the warning and turned and ran.
Everything then went into slow motions. The snow falling, my head as I turned to look behind me, the hair that was flying in front of my face, the wolves chasing me, but most importantly the moment my eyes met those yellow eyes. Right then and there I knew this was it.
I wake up with a gasp and check my surroundings.
"Misty!? What is it, are you ok?" Jessi asks me.
That's when A?) I wondered what the hell she was still doing in my bed and B.) Notice that I was being held in her arms.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just a weird dream." I assure her and then contemplate if I wanted to leave the comfort of her arms.
"Want to talk about it? You were murmuring and moving around. Not to mention how your grip tightened on me a little."
"Oh, how embarrassing," I groan.
"No it's not. I talk in my sleep sometimes." She tries to assure me, but the flame in my cheeks suggest that it hasn't worked in the slightest.
"It just seemed so real," I murmur.
From how I could feel the cold biting at my nose, and fingertips. To how the snow felt melting in my eyelashes and melting on tongue. The sound and feel of the snow beneath my boots, the wind whistling the trees, causing them to sway slightly, and the wolves. From their eyes to their huge paws.
My brows scrunch up when the feeling of familiarity fills me as I think of the place. I've never been to the place that filled my dream. Have I?
"Hey are you ok?" Jessi asks, snapping me out of my thoughts.
Yes, yes. Sorry just thinking."
"About?" You said something about how it all seemed real."
"Yes, the song I dreamed about, but it's all forgotten now so..."
I get out of her arms and quickly get off the bed and head to the bathroom.
"Thank you for the medicine by the way. I feel a lot better." I thank her.
"Oh, no problem." She says with a half smile.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm just tired." She says with a yawn and I blush. My moving around and basically squeezing the life out of her probably kept her up.
"Sorry," I tell her with a sheepish smile.
"You know how you can make it up to me?"
"How?" I grow a little nervous.
"Sleep in with me, and then-"
"We have to go to the studio today, and I have yet to shower. Our part of the song isn't even finished. Not to mention what happened last time I made it up to you, so...Raincheck?" I feel like an arse.
I already missed work yesterday. Not to mention, I'm still a little rattled by the dream. Work is the best way to get my mind off of it.
"Alright, raincheck," she agrees with a mischievous smile.
"Oh no, what is it?"
"Want to save water?" She asks with a wink and raise of her eyebrows.
"I-No what?!!"
"I was teasing." She laughs and jumps up off of the bed.
"I'll make breakfast while you shower," she says, and with that she's gone.
"Alright..." I murmur and hop into the shower.
I can already tell that today is going to be an interesting day.
