Ray was woken up by his alarm. He looked at the clock. It was 6:30 and school starts at 8:00 so he still had time to get ready. "Glad I didn't sleep in today,'' Ray said to himself.

A voice that was already well known to Ray said, "Food is on the table," with a loud voice from another room. That was Ray's dad, "Are you already off to work?" Ray responded from his room.

Ray's father works on different shifts so someday he could go to work at 6 and some days at 10 o'clock. "I'm leaving in about half an hour." Ray let out a small sight and got out of his bed. "You know dad, todays the theater play." Ray told his father as he was walking out of his bedroom.

"That seems fun. Are you guys not going to have lessons in that case?" Ray walked into the kitchen where his dad was already enjoying breakfast. "Yes, it's a day free from school!" Ray didn't really like staying in school so he was happy he could go to the theater with his friends.

Ray joined his fathers company while eating. "Well I have to go now, hope you have a great day in the theater. I'm sure you'll get ready just fine by yourself." Ray's father said with a smile on his face, almost laughing. "Sure I can." Ray showed his dad a thumb up.

Ray's dad walked out of the room, Ray heard him put on his jacket and open the front door "Bye, have a nice one," his father said before walking out and locking the door after him.

Ray looked down on his plate that was now empty. "I hope someday I can provide you with a better living condition, after mom passed you've had to work twice as much yet you still have the strength to smile." Ray said the last sentence with a little grin appearing on his face.

He got up from the table and after that he went back into his room, he changed his clothes and went to brush his teeth. At the time he had done all that the clock was already 7:00. He had to get out of the house by 7:20 to catch the bus. He got his bag, put on his shoes and went out. He got to the bus station.

Ray sat down in the bus looking at all the different people sitting there. He spotted some students from his class walking his way. "Hey Ray, are you excited about the theater today?" said a boy with curly brown hair and a taper fade.

"It's nice to get out of school for a change, and I bet you don't feel the same." The boy standing in front of him was Ollie. He's quite popular and always has a group of people hanging around him. He sat down next to Ray and started talking again.

"Aww I mean it's not like I don't want to get out of school but you know I like having people around me." Ray let out a small sigh of disappointment. "Don't you ever get tired of people wanting to hang out with you and just generally being annoying?

I feel like you're not showing your true form." Ollie just laughed it off and started talking to someone sitting opposite of them. Ray looked out of the bus window. He started fading into his thoughts. He had fallen asleep on the bus waking up to Ollie shaking him, "Hey Ray you should sleep more at night come on we're almost at our stop." "Yeah, thanks for waking me up."

Ray was walking to school while Ollie was telling him the latest drama at school. "You know the new girl from Canada? She's a year younger, but she already has her eyes on some older guy from our school.

I wasn't even interested in her though." "Yeah sure I bet," Ray told him. Ollie took it offensively and just looked away from Ray "Hmph you just don't know me to know I would never date anyone from Canada."

They arrived at their destination. It was the perfect time to end the conversation. "Have a great day Ray, we'll be seeing each other," and Ollie ran off to greet his fan club.
