Chapter 2
How did I get into this situation? I eternally regret my choices as I once again fell to the ground from my supposed to be knight in shining armor.

"Hello~" my hand was held out for the taller person whose only response was a laugh, noticing the confusion written on my face he attempted to reply between breaths "You-r so sh-ort!" his sentence being nothing but laughs. "WHAT" being offended I looked at my parents (Mum always came for welcomes) for help only to find them rolling on the floor in laughter. I let out a huff of annoyance and walked away.

The 'Knight' who goes by Desi offered a hand only for me to pull them down beside me causing me to erupt in laughter "HA! PAY BACK" Desi just sighed while rolling their eyes and proceeded to walk away. My fit of giggles soon stopped as one of my older siblings peered down at me "Little bro! That was... kind of embarrassing you gotta beat them!" i stared away in defeat and just nodded to their words lifting myself up "thanks for stating the obvious"

I retreated to my room to clean up only to find Desi looking at photos I saved in my room. Their head never moved but their eyes did along with a smirk causing a blush to creep up, "So wanna fu-" I quickly corrected myself "what are you doing?" Followed along with short silence for only a moment "I got lost?" It almost sounded like it was a question ending up with confusion "HOW? I SWEAR PUT THERE'S SIGNS AROUND HERE RIGHT?" "I got lost with DEEZ NUTS" I deadpan stared at Desi as they stared back.

I ended up just walking away from that. The halls held a peaceful feeling with the gentle wind hitting the windows giving some sort of sound. My mind wondered which ended up with me almost falling but being catched by the culprit of my stumble "and here I thought I was the once stuck in a trance" after fixing myself up I peered up towards my Mum with confusion etched on my face only understanding when I looked out the window.

There, Nini was attending the garden. Mum gave a dreamy sigh of content as she spoke her mind "How did i get so lucky with an amazing person such as themselves " once again i deadpanned stared "EW, go get a room" she only laughed in response only continuing her words after I stopped gagging "they especially looks gorgeous with light from the sunset".

"Don't you have work to do? Stop being gross" she stared straight into my eyes with a smile upon her face "The sunset was too lovely to miss, can't stay in my office all day now can i? Now tell me what's on your mind"

"Mum, i want a new knight" She looked at me funny before starting to walk and held out her hand as a signal to follow, the walk was awkward as I wasn't aware of her thoughts and panic started to flood in. I was too focused on my worries to notice she stopped which led to a chill up my spine as the cold water of the ocean covered my feet. Her shoes were long forgotten as she joined me. "So, what's wrong with Desi?" remembering past events caused me to cringe "I don't wanna talk about it"

The anger from my lack of response was noticed as she kicked water at me ending up with me falling backwards "How am i supposed to help if you won't talk!!!" mumbling curses under my breath at her "It's highly embarrassing" I looked away in shame "If you really want me too i can shove snow down Desi's shirt", "UM NO??" she just sighed and turned towards the sea as the sun was finally done setting letting the moon shine in its place "We should go back for dinner"

Nodding at her words we took the walk back rushing in time for dinner. We didn't have enough time to change out of our sandy clothes because upon our return we were already bombarded by a few butlers urging us to the dining hall. The room was full of laughter and chatter as my siblings talked with one another Mum left my side to greet Nini and continue walking to her chair on the opposite side, upon reaching my seat my parents already started a full blown conversation "Your plate was starting to look highly enticing... if you showed up any later it might of been empty just saying"

"WHAT!! BUT YOU KNOW FRIDAY HAS THE BEST DINNER" her offended face caused laughter to everyone including me "IT WOULD OF GONE TO WASTE, AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO HEAR YOU COMPLAIN OVER LEFTOVER" if looks could kill Nini would be dead. The room started to heat up fast with no signs of stopping, even with the moon out it felt like the sun was glaring giving chills up the spine. Nini eventually apologized after Mum threatened snow in her pillow.

Conversations started up again but more quietly as everyone didn't want another incident. Out of nowhere i bite of my food is taken from me, i quickly looked in the direction of the culprit AND SEE DESI ,WHEN DID THEY GET THERE "Excuse me thats MY food" "IT LOOKED GOOD" we kept arguing back in forth only stopping when he got his own plate.

"Sooooooo..... How did you two meet" Desi asked while munching "It's a long story" "Very long" the couple answered while reminiscing on the past "A story for another time" Mum answered gazing at Nini "I will have you know she was quite the troublemaker back than" Nini said with a smirk causing Mum to roll her eyes "Back then she was a helpless damsel in distress who ended up adopting every orphan on site"

Mom ended up chuckling at that "Well that is true, we found Deven at the side of the road and just picked him up" They both continued telling stories of each of the children which then turned into who can embarrass each other more as Desi listened in amusement. Eventually Mom won with Mum's failed attempts of winning her heart.

Mum looked away in embarrassment and quickly excused herself being followed by Nini as she grabbed theirs and Mum's plate. Slowly everyone left and it was just me and Desi "Guess i'll take you to bed" the walk wasn't awkward but it wasn't friendly either it was just silence but comfortable at the same time.

"Well this is my stop" I slowly opened the door waiting until a response "I guess so, see you in the morning?" their eyes held a glimpse of hope "definitely! Still waiting on that rematch" we both shared a laugh "Goodnight Desi" a slight smile etched on me "Night Deven" and with that They walked off.

I quickly shut my door and jumped on my bed back first with a dreamy sigh. Not even bothering to change, I close my eyes and wait for dreamland to take over, what a long day.
