Waking the next morning Tanjiro could have nearly forgotten the previous night if it wasn't for the arm around his waist. Starting awake he took in his predicament, Inosuke was holding him against his chest, his steady breathing telling the slayer he was still asleep. He could have gotten past the radiating heat if it wasn't for the stiffness pressing against his backside.
He pushed his upper half towards the demon hoping maybe the pressure would make him let go. It had the opposite effect causing the demon to pull him closer, the nose of his mask nuzzling into his neck, his snores picking up in volume again.
The more Tanjiro moved the more pressure Inosuke held him with before finally wrapping him with both arms, the smell of deep sleep still clinging to his skin.
"Inosuke." he tried hoping maybe saying his name would have an effect. It did, only the opposite of what he wanted, saying the demon's name caused him to rut against him and dig his claws into his chest.
Well, great.
He tried pulling away from Inosuke a bit more with the demon only holding tighter and nuzzling harder, a sleepy "stay" slipping past his lips before resuming his snores.
Well, it could be worse, he thought to himself before attempting to turn. He only succeeded in now facing the slumbering demon his thigh slotted against the offending hardness.
Ignoring it as much as he could, he started taking in the features of the boar mask up close and became bored quickly before he noticed something.
A lock of blue hair poked from the bottom of the mask, wiggling his arm free with much force he reached out to touch it gently pinching it between his fingers.
It's so soft, I wonder if he'd ever let me braid it like I did Nezuko's
He pulled on it a bit causing more to come out revealing a fade from blue to black. Testing his luck he put his hand gently under the mask to feel more, tipping it up slightly. Inosuke let out a growl and Tanjiro froze before taking a breath smelling the air, Inosuke was still asleep. Pulling his hand from under the mask he decided to rest it on the demon boy's neck, the fast steady pulse of his jugular soothing.
Before he knew it his eyes grew heavy again
A few more minutes won't hurt
As the world faded at the edges again he moved closer, pressing his face into Inosuke's chest listening to his heartbeat.
I missed warmth so much his final thought before succumbing to slumber.

When Tanjiro finally managed to pry his eyes open he could feel it was near noon. He was considering curling back up, he was supposed to be resting after all before jumping up realizing he was alone now. He scanned the room fraticly for Inosuke, the room was dark, the curtains drawn still, candles not relit. The jolt his heart felt couldn't be healthy for him when he finally noticed the boar man. He was upside down balancing on his forearms, legs touching his head still managing to keep the mask on and stare at Tanjiro.
After clearing his throat he managed as enthusiastically as he could a "Goodmorning" receiving no response from the other man. As his eyes adjusted he was able to take in the demon's form more. It certainly couldn't be comfortable to hold and based on the strain and sweat on Inosuke's body he had been doing it for a while now.
"Um what are you doing?" his curiosity peaking
"Sensing around us for demons" Inosuke said as he let his legs drop over his head before lifting his upper body and standing. How his boar mask stayed on was a mystery to Tanjiro before he finally just decided to ask Inosuke. He said he'd answer questions in the morning and it was well past that now. He simply would not bring up cuddling with him, he couldn't find another way to describe it. Bringing up the "surprise" that pressed against him would take Muzan himself showing up to cut it out of him.
