I'm woken up to a girl tapping my shoulder. She has black hair and blue eyes she has very attractive features she looks about my age. I'm scared, I have never seen this woman in my pack meaning she's human. " were you out here with the hunters last night" she says "um no I was actually being held captive by the wolfs" I quickly come up with a believable story. I know my life depends of this lie. "oh you poor thing if I didn't despise those creatures I do now, how could they do such an evil thing to you" she says "It honestly wasn't that bad I just miss my freedom, you know" I reply "I'm sorry you went through that. I'm Arianna let's get you back to town." "I don't have a place to go, my parents are dead" "I'm sure my family can take you in, anyone that hears what happened to you would happily take in." She just won't give up. Dear moon goddess why must you do this to me. I know I need to go with her or she'll grow suspicious. "I would be happy to live with your family."
I go in this thing called a car. It's a square that makes noise and can transport humans. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. The ride is awkward and we are soon meet with others cars, buildings and humans. Lots of humans. We pull up to her house it's a two story house. We enter the house and I see a man and a woman. I assume they are her parents. They look older than my parents it's probably cause they are human. "this is..." "I'm Finn" I realized I never introduced myself to Arianna. "Arianna we need to talk" her father says. They leave me just standing there. I hear screaming from her father. " YOU KNOW WE DONT BRING MEN IN THE HOUSE." "But father he was held captive by those creatures."
Their voice get quieter as I zone out. I realize that things will never be the same. My future mate is probably dea-. "ok father says you can stay as long as you stay 5 feet from me, don't cause trouble and stay in the guest room." She leads me to the guest room and sits down. "so what are we going to do about school" "Father will take care of that" "Alright can I ask what lead to the attack" "Ever since that boy Liam came into this town everyone has started to despise werewolves. They even formed a group of hunter that kill any wolves they come across. But recently a wolf attacked a citizen and it was the last straw" I nod agreeing with her. I don't know if I should laugh at humans stupidity or feel bad for those wolfs. I know they weren't werewolves as all pack members stayed in the territory and no werewolf has been killed by a human since Liam. Her father comes in the room " Ari you can't come in his room, stay out" she waves and says " we can talk at lunch " " I'm accepting you in this house don't mess this up. I expect you took keep up with school and stay away from my daughter. My name is George. I apologize for the first impression you got from me. My wife Alice will take you to the store to get some clothing and school supplies. I'm sorry you were held captive by wolf." I smile at him " thank you for accepting me in your house I was really scared but now I'm safe" wow I'm a really good actor I even impress myself. He gives me a hug and leaves the room. 10 minutes later Alice comes in. " Hey honey I'm talking you to get some clothes Alice is coming too" I get up and follow her. We get in the car and the ride is silent with the occasional small talk. We go to a few stores and I get a few pairs of jeans and shirts with the lowest price. Alice tells me I will get more clothes in the future as this is the only thing they can afford right now. Alice of course also helped me pick out some of the clothes claiming she wanted me to look good. We go to a store called Walmart to get school supplies and undergarments. I know kind of embarrassing but apparently it's cheaper there. We get home and Alice starts making dinner. "I can help make dinner if you want." I say " " that would be lovely. Do you have any allergies Finn" "Not that I know" I reply. Alice also joins and and they start asking me questions like how old I am and favorite foods etc. When we finish cooking dinner I know a bit more about Alice and Ari. Alice is 48 and got married at 27. She had Ari at 30 and has a son in "college" whatever that is. Ari is 17 and wants to be a nurse or doctor she has a boyfriend that her father disapproves of. Not surprising. We set up the table and George comes down. We ate a grilled chicken with pasta. The dinner was silent and I felt out of place. We finished dinner and I offered to do the dishes. "Such a respectable young man" George says. "Thank you" I do the dishes and reflect on what she said. I'm a respectable man for doing the dishes. My father never compliment me on washing dishes he consider it shameful. Human culture is very weird.
I go to my room and shower. I change into my Pajamas and turn my light off. I'm nervous to go to school tomorrow I've never been around so many humans. What if they find out I'm lying and kill me. Moon goddess please protect me.
