Sage feeling his heart starting to pound as he runs just wishes to be away from everyone, as he wishes, he can feel a warm feeling overcome him before a sudden flash. He closes his eyes tight and breathes deeply. Upon opening his eyes he only sees darkness with a speck of light in front of him. He reaches forward towards the light and feels a cold surface, that almost crumbles under his touch. He pushes and finds he's managed to teleport himself inside a hollow tree trunk, as he pushes the dead bark so as to allow him to step out and begin to look around. He notices a secluded body of water and heads towards it, cautiously he moves because he doesn't know where he is, he manages to find a quite spot and sits down. Beginning to ponder about his current situation Sage pulls out the tome from his bag and starts reading to distract him from the bad images in his head.

Sage slowly reads not using his magic and just content being away from everyone but feels a creeping sadness, because he actually felt like he was starting to make meaningful bonds with people. As he thinks back and starts looking at the memories of Cassandra, Baron and Kai, as he thinks deeper and his mind focuses on Viktor. He feels his face turn red and thinks about how Viktor was nice to him and even carried him when they went to the cave. Suddenly feeling his pulse increase Sage feels the tree he's resting against encompass him creating a barrier between himself ant the rest of the world.

After sitting in the darkness alone for a while Sage feels the tree open and he can look out over the water and just calm down. Sage jolts as he hears a voice call out, "hey you've only been here a week and you're already a pain in my ass."

Sage flinches to the sound of Rain's voice and looks up towards him, he grabs the satchel prepared to run but stops as he feels something grab him. It's Rain who's suddenly got Sage slung over his shoulder with relative ease, "alright we're heading back," he explains.

Sage starts to wriggle and kick as he beats his fists against Rains back, he starts to cry out, "put me down I cant go back, I'm going to hurt someone." Sage keeps thrashing to no avail as Rain just walks and carries him away. Sage thinks of some way to get Rain to put him down, "Rain can we just make a deal, I'll come with you if we can just stay here for a bit, please?" he asks.

Sage feels them suddenly stop moving and notices Rain in a gruff manor place him back on the floor, he looks up at Rain and sees the reluctant annoyance on Rain's face as he returns with a soft smile of his own. Sage takes Rain's hand and leads him to a tree and sits on the ground leaning against it. As he sits he watches Rain sit down next to him. As he calms down and leans back against the tree and pulls his knees into his chest he stares out over water trying to figure out why he feels so at ease around Rain compared to the others. After pondering he looks at Rain, "you got sent to take me back?" He asks shrewdly.

Rain looking over the water lets out a solitary chuckle, "yep," he replies softly. He starts scratching his head, "though I would recommend we go back soon, because it's not really safe out here on your own," he explains.

Sage confused by Rains explanation, "why did you let me stay, if it's not that safe?" He asks curiously, unsure what to make of the decision to wait for him.

"Well I don't really fit in back there, so took the chance to stay away for a bit longer," Rain explains bluntly. He looks over his shoulder away from Sage, "and well, as much as it annoys me to be out here chasing you around..." he hesitates. "I don't think you'd last long out here with those nightmares of yours," he says, as he remembers the three times in the previous week he has sat next to Sage's bed to help relax him from the nightmares. A small grin crosses Rain's face, "oh and anyway, Tomb will probably be sent after us and drag us back by force, so we don't have a lot of choices," he says through a light laugh.

Sage listens to Rain's words and his face drops a little as Rain explains his loneliness, he goes to reach out and pat Rain's shoulder but stops as he listens to Rain mention his nightmares and blushes heavily hiding his face, he isn't able to get the words out but his heart skips a beat when he thinks back to the mornings he woke up to find Rain sat next to his bed. He shuffles a little closer to Rain feeling anxious but as he tries to speak Rain mentions Tombstone and he begins thinking. "I can't go back, I'll hurt someone," Sage mumbles shyly.
