Life Without Living

It was one sunny day of April, flowers starts to blossom on the hallway of the school. I can smell the fragrance of roses everywhere. I turned my sight to where the girls from the upper section, and there's a bunch of them laughing and talking about random stuff. It seems like everyone's happy around me. I released a sigh then walk out. I ran upstairs and walk my way to the rooftop. I never really liked school, ever since. I hate how entitled the teacher's are to meddle with their student's life. I hate how having good grades can determine your future. I hate how principles can be bended when measured with money. I feel suffocated and trapped.

From the moment my feet touches the rooftop ground, I felt like I was been freed even for a brief moment. I walked to the edge of the wall and climbed, I sat down and let out a breathy sigh. "Seems like a big problem huh" a voice of man was heard out of nowhere. I looked around to see Gabe beside me. I shrugged and turned to see the view below."What's the problem?" he asked again, now with a worried face. " I wanted to burn down the entire school cuz it's disgusting" I replied with a smirk. I looked down and again, I can see every bit of their two-faced faces. I want to make them feel the heat of hell and the pain of death" I smiled at the thought of that.

"Remember that day Gabe?, 16th of April when I confessed my feelings for you? When I confessed that I see you more than just a friend. You were disgusted and pushed me away. I knew you like Lily and I knew from that moment that there is no way you would feel something for me. But why? Why did you called me on that very night to see you. I waited Gabe... I waited in front of the gym. Despite the rain... I waited. But you never came...instead Lily's ex and his gang came and abused me" I stood up and tried to feel the wind on my bare skin. I stretched out my hands and closed my eyes.

"I thought for a second, maybe they hurt you too but why? Before the pain gets through and kills me. I did try to fight but then I saw you with Lily outside the gym.... hand-in-hand...that's when I realized you traded me for her safety and there's no sense to fight anymore...you killed the slightest hope that I had"

"I'm sorry...Lily"

One last time I looked at him with his phone on his ear. He smiled. I let out one last tear before I jumped and left. I smiled at him one last time and all the burden is gone.
