A BROKEN MIND

CHAPTER 3

On getting to his room, he goes to drop his bucket and goes over to his box to carry his cloth to wear, Jeremiah "be fast it will soon be time for breakfast", Dominga "calm down", Jeremiah "did you hear about King and Ashley?", Dominga "nah, are they together?", Jeremiah "nope, Ashley told him to get lost", Dominga bursts out laughing while asking "really?", Jeremiah nods, Dominga "that seems a bit harsh even for king", Jeremiah "nah, he had it com-", a boy enters the room telling them it is time for breakfast, both the boys exit the room and go towards the dinning hall.

    They get to the dinning hall and they only see fifty people in the hall as they go over to their sits. As they sit down, Dominga starts to look for whether Ashley is in the dinning hall but he does not see her, Jeremiah sees him and asks "who are you looking for?", Dominga "have a guess", Jeremiah "Ashley?", Dominga "bingo", Jeremiah "do you like her?", Dominga does not answer him, Jeremiah "wow, have you talked to her yet?", Dominga "have I gotten the chance?", that is when the cooks come out of the kitchen with two plates each in their hands, as one of the cooks place the plates in front of them. Ashley then enters the hall with her two best friends, King also enters with his gang of bullies, meanwhile two boys come out of the kitchen to start serving the food, Jeremiah "look over there", Dominga looks over and he sees Ashley going over to her seat which was four seats ahead of them, Miss Jessica then enters the dinning hall and tells everyone to keep quiet as they share the grace, they then finish sharing the grace and start eating their food, Dominga tells Jeremiah "this reminds me of the pancakes my foster dad cooked for me", Jeremiah "do you still miss them?", Dominga "everyday I wake up, I have this dreams where I am with them and the killer comes and kills them but he leaves me", Jeremiah "do not worry, they will find the killer", Dominga "no, I will find the killer and make the person suffer", Jeremiah "with the help of who?", Dominga "Miss Jessica", Jeremiah "do you think she will help you?", Dominga "probably, hopefully".

  Some minutes after they had finished eating, Dominga and Jeremiah stand up from their sits as they prepare to go to their rooms, as they were going someone taps Dominga at his back, he turns over to see that it was Ashley, he then says "hey", Ashley "hey, I just wanted to see how you were holding up, seeing that you did not talk to me after the kitchen incident", Dominga " I did get the chance, by the way what were you doing in the kitchen that night?", Ashley "I wa-", one of her friends then drag her away and Dominga goes back to his room. As he was going to his room, King and one of his friends stand in front of him and Dominga asks "what do you want?", no response, Dominga then tries to pass the other side but he gets pushed back by one of the bullies, Dominga "can you tell me what the hell you guys want", King replies with a punch across the cheeks of Dominga which makes him fall, King then says "do not go near her", Dominga stands up and says "she told you no, so get over it", King then tries to punch Dominga again but Dominga holds King's hand and punches him straight in his stomach and he falls to the ground, another of King's friend tries to punch Dominga but Dominga dodges it and punches him straight in the nose, Dominga then says "I got to go now" he then continues going to his room.

   On getting to his room he opens the door, as he opens the door Jeremiah asks him "why did you take so long?", Dominga "I got ambushed by King", Jeremiah "why, what happened", Dominga "he told me not to go near Ashley", Jeremiah "but she told him no",  Dominga "exactly what I told him", Jeremiah "so what happened", Dominga "we fought", Jeremiah "who won?" Dominga smirks "who else?", Jeremiah "nice, so what now?", Dominga "am going to go rest", he then walks over to his bed and rests. Some minutes after, a boy enters to tell Jeremiah "am looking for Dominga", Jeremiah "he is sleeping, why?", the boy "someone is looking for him" Jeremiah "who?", the boy "Isabella", Jeremiah "tell her he is sleeping".
