A BROKEN MIND

Chapter 2

A few days after the burial, Dominga had just woken up from his sleep and is laying on his bed, Jeremiah then comes to meet him “bro we will start school as from tomorrow”, Dominga “ do you think I’ll cope”, Jeremiah “as long as we are together nothing will happen”. King then enters the room and says “which one of you took the plate I use to eat”, no one responds, he asks once again and no one answers, he then says “I’ll tell Miss Jessica that one of you took my plate”, Dominga “shut the hell up, we all know that you are irresponsible, so don’t come blaming this on us”, Jeremiah “if I were you I’d hang myself under the trees”. King then angrily shuts the door, Dominga then rises up from his bed asking “what’s the time”, Jeremiah “I think 11 o’clock”, Dominga “ why didn’t you wake me up earlier”, Jeremiah “ we wanted to enjoy your sleep”, Dominga “we?”, Jeremiah “miss Jessica”. Dominga “is there a long line for the bathroom?”, Jeremiah “it’s shorter than before”, Dominga “is food ready?”, Jeremiah “by the time you are done bathing, food will be ready”, Dominga then stands from his bed and goes over to where his bucket is placed and heads to the door, he turns saying to Jeremiah “do not go without me” and he opens the door and heads to the toilet.
While with Jessica, she was on the corridor looking everywhere for any problem, she then sees two boys bullying a boy in the corner, she then goes over there and ask the bullied boy “what’s going on here?”, one of the boys tries to run but she tells him “if you go, you will be stuck on cleaning duty for the next month”, she continues talking with the boy “now tell me what’s going on”.
The boy “I was walking on my own when these two boys came of a room, threatening that if I go anywhere near Ashley I would end up like my parents”, the other boy “that’s a lie”, Jessica “keep quiet, two of you go to the kitchen and wash the dirty plates”, the other boy “but ma”, Jessica “now!”.
She heads over to the kitchen to deal with the boys, on getting to the kitchen she perceives a very bad odor, she then goes to ask one of the cooks holding her nose “what’s smelling”, the cook “the soup has spoilt”, Jessica “since when?”, cook “since yesterday morning”, Jessica “so you gave the kids spoilt soup?”, cooks “no, we gave them beans but it has finished”, Jessica “so what are they eating for breakfast”, cook “we are already ,making pancakes”, Jessica “what are they going to eat for launch?”, cook “we don’t know”, Jessica “anyways, did you see any two kids here?”, cook “ they are over there washing the plates”, she then goes over to meet them.
While with Dominga who just finished bathing goes over to his room.
